I've read about how Wim Hof uses a certain breathing technique. Basically, he hyperventillates for about 30 breaths, then holds his breath as long as he can. He is known to be able to hold his breath for over 6 minutes. Do you think this is something we all should be doing? Are there any health benefits to this breathing technique?

Sounds like he is basically blowing out as much CO2 as possible. That is important because it is the build up of CO2 that makes you want to take a breath, not the lack of oxygen. You have to be careful with this however because if you run out of oxygen before you get the urge to breathe then you can pass out. Not a good thing to have happen if you are submerged.
