Now we know why cataract surgery is associated with hair loss in humans. The lens blocks many light frequencies. The light via your eyes causes your hair loss if that light is man-made. In nocturnal mammals, we would expect blue light to stimulate hair growth and in diurnal mammals, we would expect UV and IR light to do it. Why? Nocturnal mammals have a scotopic retina and diurnal mammals have a photopic retina. So it is now clear if you had an intraocular implant if you use too much blue light at night you might go bald. It turns out, sunlight is fully capable of regrowing your hair if you are human. When you have an IoL your eyes are effectively permanently changed..........and made blind to certain frequencies of sunlight https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6055137/

  2. This would explain how working on a computer and an indoor life would make gray hairs early. You deplete your stem cells by chronically stimulating the growth phase of blue light in the cell cycle.

I personally know two brothers one older (63) lives in Fl construction trace of gray hair---- his brother always inside and totally gray worked on computer all his life.
