    I got this one:

    Along with the red - they also have an all UV one - not sure the frequency but it's probably 400nm range -

    No idea why you'd use an amber or green one though...

    Ya know, all these lights are polarized... so *not* like the sun... one of the recent blogs chatted at length about this and it was quite the eye opener... I wonder if polarized sun glasses are even worse for you than regular sunglasses...
  3. May be better to use every day rather than two times a week.

  4. I use my sperti in the winter. 20 min sessions everyday--five minutes a side--front, back, and sides.

    What are the tested values of your vit D.
    Do you supplement?

    good--->100 nmol/L = 40.06 ng/mL
    do not go over--->250 nmol/L = 100.16 ng/mL

    • No, I do not supplement. Started the winter at 28nglml. After one month using Sperti (25 days using the Sperti) was up to 40. Getting another blood draw on monday after getting real sun for past 6 weeks. Will post results when in.

    What was actually tested?
    LabCorp Vitamin D, 25-Hydroxy (30−100) ng/mL
    LabCorp Calcitriol (1,25 di-OH Vitamin D) (19.9−79.3) pg/mL

    Vitamin D (25-Hydroxyvitamin D)
    30 nmol/L = 12.02 ng/mL
    50 nmol/L = 20.03 ng/mL
    74.88 nmol/L = 30 ng/mL
    100 nmol/L = 40.06 ng/mL
    250 nmol/L = 100.16 ng/mL
