Titanium plates and screws, future problems?

I have 12 screws and a plate in my heel from an injury back in 2009. These are titanium.
I have a lot of pain walking in the morning but my local doc said the screws and plate does not interfere with the joint, so the pain isn’t coming from the metal (going from xrays). The pain is from more of a bone on bone issue in my subtalar joint. (The break went through the cartridge of the joint).

However, does anyone believe the titanium will effect my health in the future? Should I get the titanium removed anyway? (if it’s even possible anymore).
    Thanks

Hi Jack do you recall what post specifically? And do you have one about dust mite allergies? Very interested.
    Thanks
