Tinned oysters nearly as good as fresh?

    Are tinned canned oysters still of benefit?

    I know fresh is best but tinned is so much cheaper

    I know tinned will be super high in histamines but am not sure if any nutrients leach out over time or not.

    For those of us who are sensitive to them, yes. But being sensitive also implies other, underlying problems

    perhaps not as good but does work when you need to cut cost and up your oyster consumption.
    still trumps GF land meat. I have some from the can almost daily.

    I use Crown Price or Ocean Prince 8oz cans for oysters.
    At least Zn content should be close to that of raw oysters.

    Yes a lot easier to have canned

    but fresh is best if available

    Just tried these oysters from Taylor Farms Shellfish from Willapa Bay WA. Delicious and smoky (I guess thats a no-brainer!) Give em a try. Stock up for winter.
