    I didn't know this:
    (From the JCS article)
Jack has shown us the graph of wavelength penetration many times, but I didn't realize that it could also penetrate the skull. Guess uvex isn't enough at night... I've been covering my thyroid while at the computer during the day while my poor brain is suffering.

Big news today out of NOLA: I've always suspected this was the case but now I know my intuition was correct. For many researchers and clinicians this is quite an unexpected finding but not for me. I've been on Bazan work since 1993. The identification of a lipid mediator that instructs the key protein IDUNA to do the right thing in the retina and brain is a massive finding for my thesis about the semiconductive pathway of the anterior visual system. Another Epi-paleo Rx win!!!! The fish oil component of seafood helps damaged brain & retina cells survive insults from the environment. DHA, as a precursor of NPD1, counteracts the deficits by neural damage by increasing IDUNA expression in neurons and astrocytes after stroke onset. This means that Dr. Bazan's findings establish a CAUSAL relationship whereby NPD1 modulates IDUNA abundance and cell survival after neural injury/stroke, resulting in neurological protection. Big deal for all mitochondriacs! https://www.nature.com/articles/cdd...lDgLe3Ro0Raxl6ZVOugciU47smUyDyIi54bAFiEJlYAru

This insistence on using so many chemicals (especially with strong scents) drives me up a wall. When I'm walking around my neighborhood there is a house that once I get within 1/8 mile from I can often literally taste their fabric softener. The same goes for some cars I drive behind and their "air fresheners". That's just the smell part of the spectrum of chemicals your article points out!

My rule (that still bends epi-paleo mindset a bit) is that if it hasn't been in use as a cleaning substance (same for sweeteners) for more than 500 years running, don't use it.

Cosmic inflation theory is pseudoscience. It is nonsense on stilts. It is not testable. It was Karl Popper who first identified what he called “the demarcation problem” of finding a criterion to distinguish between empirical science, such as the successful 1919 test of Einstein’s general theory of relativity, and pseudoscience, such as Freud’s theories, whose adherents sought only confirming evidence while ignoring disconfirming cases. Einstein’s theory might have been falsified had solar-eclipse data not shown the requisite deflection of starlight bent by the sun’s gravitational field. Freud’s theories, however, could never be disproved, because there was no testable hypothesis open to refutability. Thus, Popper famously declared “falsifiability” as the ultimate criterion of demarcation.https://blogs.scientificamerican.co...science/?WT.mc_id=SA_TW_SPC_BLOG&sf78605130=1

The central message of my blog is that if you don’t understand how light and water dynamically interacts with other componets of the cell, you cannot hope to claim you have a clue of how any cell really works in nature. To make large collections of proteins coherent and coupled you need to link them together electrically. Cells do this photoelectrically and then change the wave to an electromechanical one in water to control circadian cycles. This idea implies that cells have some "photo-electric tuning" ability built into their protein structure that is stored in DNA. This tuning ability is linked to the visible spectrum of light from the sun. Sunlight hits proteins when the body's surfaces are exposed to sunlight. Proteins all have hydration shells otherwise they cannot work. This is why intracellular dehydration elevated ubiquitin marking in cells. Proteins, once hit by electromagnetic waves of light, re-emit electro-mechanical waves into their hydration shells. All proteins are surrounded by water in the living state. The waves are captured in cell water and their energy and information is sent to mitochondria. Sunlight contains deep information about daytime and nighttime contains a lack of information that is also a signal to a cell. Circadian clock genes pay attention to those electro-mechanical wave signals and how they vary. The ordering of water under solar light can actually move a significant amount from a few layers at night time into a few million molecular layers during noon via coherent domains in the exclusion zone in the hydration shells of proteins. This is how porphyrins work in blood plasma. Water is disordered in the hydration shells when man made light is the incident waves and this leads to a different signaling of mitochondrial ROS/RNS. The pushing or pulling on the EZ layers in cell water in the hydration shell immediately transmit the energy and information of the collision to the tensegrity cytoarchitecture of the cell, to the mitochondria, and the nuclear DNA. Since collagen is the most common protein in mammalian cells, this interration between light and water is capable of changing the tension in the EZ of a cell. Moreover, we know anything that can change the tension in a cell is capable of altering the energy flow from mitochondria is capable of altering the epigenetic expression of genes in cells to make proteins in a cell. Proteins are light antenna's. Is this why protein synthesis varies from day to night? Yep. It is a circadian flux. Is this why artificial light at night causes the diseases we see today? Yes it is. http://snip.ly/zg2zg#http://news.yo...ks-important-human-health-previously-thought/
