    I had a fantastic day yesterday (a lot of energy and well-being) after a horrible headache a day before. I think it is a good indication that I am detoxing and adjusting at the same time. I will stay at 12 mg a day for a couple of weeks before going up, I think.

    I also ordered another book on Iodine: Why you need it, Why you can't live without it David Brownstein, M.d. Looking forward to that.

    After reading everything and thinking about it I decided to give iodine a try. I have had fiber cystic breasts since I was about 11 years old and I can't even tell you how uncomfortable exercising, hugging and even bras have been my whole life. I too have had 4 different doctors tell me to cut off my breasts. (and I have even thought about it) Also they told me to get a hysterectomy as soon as I was done having children to deal with the uterine fibroids.

    I have been taking iodine with the support supplements for just over a month. I dove right in and started with 1 drop. (now up to 4 drops) The pain in my breasts went away within 24 hours!!!! I literally did a little dance in the shower when I realized it. I still have some lumps but the smaller ones are gone. I also am getting a lot of relief from the fibroid pain.

    Other things I have observed is my appetite is almost completely gone, my hands don't break out from the chemicals anymore, my fingernails are hard and growing for the first time in my life, I haven't even had one migraine since starting and I am happy and have so much energy. I have suffered from depression for so long that it is amazing to feel normal again.

    So, again, thank you thank you!!

    Thank you both! To me this is nothing short of a real miracle. Grizz, I have read everything in your file at least 5 times, I have sent it on to my mom and sister and I tell everyone in the salon who will listen. Thank you for putting it together. The information is life changing for me.

    I know 11 is young... and I could have been spared 25 years of pain. I don't know if this is a common thing for girls with FB but I was that freak of nature kid who was as tall as the teacher at 9 and had a full-grown woman's body at 12. My breasts always hurt and always felt like bean bags. (and got worse over the years) I remember complaining about it when I was young and being told that it was normal for developing girls. People just thought I was complaining because I wasn't yet mature enough for the body I had. I didn't know it was FB untill I was 19 or 20 when I went in to get birth control for the first time. So I learned it was not normal but there was nothing anyone could do.

    I never got as far as price with the doctors so I don't know what that would cost but I was told that they could do some nice reconstructive implants at the same time. (I'm sure that doubles the price) When I chose not to do it my last doctor wanted to get me on antidepressants to "help" me deal with it. I am sure doctors just don't know about iodine. I really feel that western medicine is great at cutting stitching and fixing broken bones. They fail when it comes to restoring health to people with chronic problems. They just want to cut it out or give you a pill to mask the symptoms. No one, it seems, asks the question of what is causing the problem. That is why I am so grateful for the information you have put out there.

    I have two small victories to share. First, I went out yesterday to do a short run. About half way in there is a hill thats really steep that I use for my sprints. (maybe 150 yards long) I always run up but never down because of my chest and my uterus. Yesterday I flew down it with no pain at all and I was laughing so hard when I got to the bottom because I was so happy. Second, I woke up this morning and realized that I had slept on my stomach! Both of these are small things... to me, they represent the impossible.

    How many drops/droplest does a dropperful have? Not that iodine is toxic until very high doses, but it seems to me that you are using quite high a dose.

    I am using dropperfull/day=48mg/day for number of years already.

    Possibly this can help:

    2/day-->Super Selenium Complex, 200 mcg 100 capsules (lef.org)
    good read up selenium/iodine(selenium 400mg/day max---->
    1 dropperfull/day=48mg/day
    Lugol's Iodine Family Pack -- 6 (2 fl. oz.) bottles
    recalculate dose if using other iodine/iodide source.

    50 to 100mg per day is what Dr. Brownstein recommends in his Iodine Protocol. He recommends the 50mg dose to overcome the typical toxins of bromide, fluoride & chlorine hat we are exposed to. He recommends the 100mg dose for those who have any one of the iodine deficiency symptoms we discussed earlier.

    Also there are many members at the Curezone Iodine Group taking 100mg daily routinely. Any excess iodine just goes out into the urine. IMO, taking more than 50mg daily is just wasting money unless you are treating an iodine deficiency problem. If you are extremely careful to avoid bromide, fluoride & chlorine I think you can get by with just 12mg of iodine daily.

    I have been on 50mg iodoral capsules with required co-supplements for about 9 months now. At the end of 2013, I will drop down to 12mg daily for a few months, then take the iodine urine test to verify that my body is fully sufficient in iodine. It is important to include the bromide & fluoride test.

    Here is one of my best files on iodine by Dr. Sircus:

    Best to all,

    @JanSz & Grizz: So, a dropperful has something like 17 droplets (17x3=51)? I asked just in case it carried a lot more.

    By the way, I had bromine detox symptoms (a couple of strangely placed pimples and the sole of my feet peeling like in Radialhead's case) when around 1.8 or 3.6mg/day (Iosol, 1 or 2 drops), now I am staying at 7.2mg/day (4 drops). I don't think we have the same bromine exposure here in Europe .

    It seems that my athlete's foot disappeared along the way too.

    Just thought I'd point out that you only absorb about 27mg of riboflavin (b2) at a time so taking that ATP cofactor tablet is a waste of money. Probably a better idea to cut them up instead.

    You are certainly correct in what you say. However, the ATP Cofactors contains both B2 and B3 and is recommended by Dr. Brownstein as part of his official Iodine Protocol. I would not want to be the one changing "Doctors Orders." In fact, the ATP Cofactors was developed by the Iodine Doctors Group including Dr. Abraham & Dr. Brownstein. Optimox is the company of Dr. Abraham specifically for the iodine protocol, the primary doctor who has brought about the resurgence in iodine usage. Optimox also developed and sells Iodoral 12mg & 50mg capsules which are the alternatives to Lugols Liquid. This group of doctors are responsible for the new revolution in iodine. Dr. Brownstein has tested his protocol on thousands of patients to verify effectiveness. So he has no doubt spent a great deal of time and energy on his protocol.

    Lynne Farrow also relied heavily on these doctors to write her new book, The Iodine Crises, What You Don't Know About Iodine Can Hurt You.

    "The film critic fought salivary gland and thyroid cancer for a decade."

    With what I have recently learned about Iodine Curing Cancer, I would have to guess that if Roger had been taking iodine all along, he would not have gotten cancer at all. The body uses iodine to kill off cancers as they form, at the earliest of stages. If he had started on iodine after discovering cancer, I think there is a very good chance he could have beat it. We'll never know for sure, so this is just pure speculation on my part. Our neighbor had used iodine to beat her cancer and won. She was sent to home hospice to die. Doctors had given up on her cancer that had spread from her uterus & vagina. She was given 3 months at most. Now 9 months later, her x-rays show her to be totally free of cancer.

    Now we have started another woman in our neighborhood on iodine. She has breast cancer and her sister, our mail lady, is demanding that she goes on the iodine protocol. I gave her Lynne's book to help get her started, and just received a Thank You card for the book. If she recovers, I'll post the good news here. The wife & I will visit her tomorrow to see how she is doing. I have some extra bottles of ATP Cofactors to give her. She is also working with her doctor, but taking iodine, too can't hurt anything.

    See my Recommended Reading, chapter CANCER for how powerful iodine is to kill cancers. VERY impressive material from well known doctors.

    More about iodine

    Oh, Oh! The books I'm handing out for free in my neighborhood just got into the hands of another woman with cancer. This one is suffering with "Incurable Lymphoma Cancer." She will be starting the Dr. Brownstein Iodine Protocol, and she is friends with the woman fighting breast cancer I mentioned. So I will be reporting on 2 new cancer cases. I am simply SHOCKED that there is so much SEVERE iodine deficiency disease so close to my house. Every house for miles has someone suffering. This woman's sister decided to buy a bunch of books to hand out to friends at her church.

    Does anyone have any testimonials on iodine?

    I love this thread! I ordered Lugol's today. They do not have it here in the drug store at all, no where. I am going to paint it on hubbys mole he has on he's back that is a bit weird.. (if he lets me.. but I bet he does) it was like that as long as I remember but still. He's brother died of melanoma 2 years ago so I better do something now! :)

    @@ Inger,
    Yes, Lugols Iodine does a WONDERFUL job removing skin lesions, moles & warts. I removed a terrible skin lesion on my own shoulder. The only place to get Lugols or Iodoral that I know of is Amazon.Com. PS) The drug companies are trying to make Iodine illegal to buy without a prescription.

    BEWARE ! Do NOT paint iodine on the good skin, or there will be severe dermatitus. It is difficult to paint just the mole. I used a pencil eraser for painting my lesion, but that was even hard to do. But then I was doing it by myself looking in the mirror. It will be a lot easier if another person focuses on doing this chore, apply iodine 2 times a day. In about a month the mole will begin to itch, then fall off leaving fresh NEW skin underneath. Not even a scar is left. Just natural color skin ( not yet tanned ).

    There is a nationwide iodine deficiency crises. If you are not eating a lot of seaweed, & sea foods then you WILL suffer from one of the typical deficiency diseases sooner or later. Most commonly
    * Hypothyroid & related thyroid disease including goiter & nodules
    * Female organ problems, severe menstrual pain, female hormonal problems
    * Male prostate problems & male hormonal problems
    * Brain Fog, headaches
    * Cancers of all kinds especially related to the above
    I knew about the nationwide deficiency crises, but didn't realize it would impact families in EVERY house in my rural neighborhood. Rural Tennessee folks just don't have easy access to seafoods or seaweed.
    On the positive side, Lynne Farrow's new book has made a huge difference between people being super skeptical of my messages and accepting the facts about iodine.

    BTW, I just discovered this exciting new Iodine Museum that d\shows how extensively iodine was used prior to WWII before the Drug Companies killed it.

    Just FYI, I was able to purchase Lugol's here in Canada at my local compounding pharmacy.

    Also, can someone point me to the dosage for 5% Lugol's? I saw the 1 drop per 8oz bottle regimen, but that was for the 2%, wasn't it? What should I do, just use a 16 oz bottle?

    Salivary glands concentrate iodine, so iodine probably would have benefitted him.

    Grizz, I see your links say 500 mg Niacin/niacinamide is one of the cofactors for iodine supplementation. Is that considered high dose? It may not be, but I remember reading that high doses of niacin can greatly increase toxic homocysteine levels and wipe out our methylation, using up SAM-e. It is good to know that adequate B6 and B12 supports methylation so can convert homocysteine back to cysteine.

    Have you heard anything about iodine being nebulized?

    Grizz, I ordered 7% Lugol's.. I thought it might last me longer? I ordered it from Amazon.co.uk. Is this way too strong to use pure on moles? Should I dilute it? Should I mix it with oil or use it pure?
    I have lots of moles too. I am going to try to paint them if they go away, they are normal moles but still.. would be fun to get them disappear! :)

    Thank you Grizz for sharing with us...!!! :)
