    Jack,

Here is the gedanken experiment to end all debate (cf. Einstein):

Give any person on earth the following materials and put them on the following protocol:

    Materials:
    --Unlimited Access To The Following:

    The perfect diet.
    The perfect exercise program.
    Every supplement they desire.

    Protocol:

The subject lives in a pitch black room shielded from light at all times and and the subject is shielded from all native electromagnetic fields. (This is performed for an indefinite period of time.)

The subject has unlimited access to every other "perfect pillar of health" recommended by any and all food gurus, movement coaches, health practitioners, etc...

    Whatever they want.

    No Light. No magnetism.

    Everything else.

    What happens?

After one day? Five days? Two weeks?

    Now reverse the accessibility parameters

    What happens?

Wever already did the experiment in the 1960's. People went nuts in a day. You need to read more.

“But during his 63 days underground, he only dabbled in madness once. One day, Siffre started singing at the top of his lungs and dancing the twist in his black silk tights. Other than that, he behaved relatively normally.”

    LOL

I wonder if his later Texas electrode experiments had any influence on/relation to electroshock therapy for depression?
