Surface vs REAL understanding of hormones work. I have an irreverence for scientists in Ivory towers who think they know more than they do.

Curiosity and irreverence go together. Curiosity cannot exist without the other. Curiosity asks, "Is this true?" "Just because science has always been taught this way, is the best or right way we should live? Is it the best or right idea to follow? To the questioner, nothing is sacred. They detest dogma, they defy any finite definition of science, and they rebel against any repression of a free, open search of ideas no matter where they may lead. They challenge convention, they insult you to act, agitation is fair game, discrediting as they Tweet. They stir unrest in hope that the truth is found.

When there is little understanding, metaphors reign, where mysteries reside in life.

Too often we enjoy the comfort of popular opinion without the discomfort of thought. I find slaying sacred cows make great grass-fed steaks

Among the older geologic records, we find chapter after chapter of which we can read the characters, and make out their meaning using our brain to decipher the embedded code; and as we approach the period of man’s creation, our book of ideas and observations seems to become more clear, and nature seems to begin to speak to us in language so like our own, that we "feel" we easily comprehend it. The irony is that feeling occurs when we are truly clueless about the power of the smallest things in nature to create the most incredible things in life. But just as we begin to enter the history of physical changes going on before our eyes in those environments, and in which we ourselves bear a part, our chronicle of knowledge seems to fail us—a leaf has been torn out from nature's record, and the succession of events is almost hidden from our eyes. That missing leaf is the quantum effects that fundamental to nature. If we were able to see the nature and reality would cease to exist. Let that sink in.

What was this 91 Tweetstorm about? My frustration with popular scientists who have become famous for being average.

An alternative "point of view" can be a dangerous luxury in science/medicine/finance when substituted for insight and understanding. People only see what they want to see or feel what they want to feel.

Do you take what you have and use it to its maximum? When we leverage, we aggregate and organize our existing resources to create new success. Be extraordinary in the midst of ordinary. Average is not the best leverage in life.

A tool is an extension of a man's hand, and a machine is a complex tool that humans invented to augment their power. Nature uses sunlight as her "tool" and she innovated hormones to act as "her quantum nanomachine" to augment the power built into sunlight for the well being of mankind.
