I have some in my bathroom drawer. I probably should order some more but I"m already using so much cream ... estrogen, Pg, testosterone. One more and I might slip and hurt myself, LOL.

Einstein. Einstein. Hmmm. Damn that name sounds familiar.

I love this place. I manage to learn something new every day. OK then. Next time the sun is out at noon and the wind isn't blowing too hard ... off with the clothes and out onto the lounger. :)

fitness I posted one pic a while back. I have a few still in my Etsy shop and will be relisting a bunch more pretty soon.

I entered this bead in the Lark Books call for entries for their newest book "1000 Glass Beads." I was lucky enough to take a class from the woman who is judging the entries. That's the one I posted here. It's the only bead I've made (other than the very first one I ever made) that I won't sell. It's mine. Mine I tell you.

CT yesterday ... the usual 47° or so at 45 minutes. I wish I could get completely submerged but I do the best I can right now with what I've got. I mentioned, kinda casual like, to DH the other day that I had found a hot tub from Costco that uses an ionizer to clean the water instead of chemicals. I need to go read the owners manual again to make sure. It's pretty darned pricey but if I get off my backside and start working again, assuming there's still a market for my beads, I could probably pay for it myself with bead money. Of course, then there'd be the argument about the water temp because *I* want it at 50°.

    One step at a time.

Speaking of that ... I've been up puttering around and haven't eaten yet. I don't normally do that so don't scold me. I just got side tracked.

Wow Darleen, that is a beautiful bead! Please let us know when you add to your Etsy shop.

I like to jewelry shop :)

Stopped at the Farmer's Market this morning. They set up at a local church parking lot just outside of my neighborhood every third weekend. I bought two necklaces and two pairs of earrings from one of the vendors. I like to support local artisans.

Wearing some of it right now!

Oh, and I also ordered two beef hearts from Georgia's Grass Fed Beef. Pick it up at the same place in three weeks. My current batch of high meat is almost gone.

Thanks you guys. It's been awful not wanting to work for nearly 3 years now. My "studio" is a major disaster area. I need to get out there and straighten things up and then clean off my workbench. My poor torch probably has spider webs in in by now.

fitness good for you on the beef heart. I asked at the local meat market but they don't usually carry it. I may urge them to try and get one of the ranchers they deal with to save one.

Beautiful bead Darleen! I do hope that this can help you start creating again - it sounds like you have quite a passion for it.

I totally agree - a beautiful work of art. I hope you get back out into the shop soon and start letting the creative juices flow. I'm so glad to hear of the successful verdict - maybe that will let you get back to doing what you love and are obviously quite talented at.

    Thank you!

BAB this morning which is supposed to be followed by CT but I'm dragging my feet for some reason. I woke up about 5:30 groused at the cats then fell asleep again and didn't wake up again until nearly 9:30. I feel like I need a nap.

We had orange roughy last night for dinner and hubby surprised me by telling me how good it was. He doesn't like fish very much. I cooked it in CO and added some lemon pepper to it. That was it. He said the "sauce" was tasty, LOL.

Tonight we're having tri-tip. I found a recipe for a rub that sounds pretty darn good. And then there's a pan sauce to go with it.

It's snowing, off and on, again. Must be February. But the days are getting a wee bit longer and Spring is around the corner. YAY. I suppose if I spent my winters skiing I'd be sad but haven't been on the slopes since I was in college. About a zillion years ago. I'm looking forward to some real sunbathing instead of hanging out in a tanning booth.

And speaking of that. In December I had a handful of small, ugly, scaly red spots appear on my upper chest. The PA didn't know what they were but she gave me some stuff to take which did nothing. They didn't get worse but didn't get better. Since I started the tanning thing they have all but disappeared. Coincidence? shrug. who knows. But they're GONE. Thank you very much.

Well it's either go get dressed or fill the tub with cold water. Maybe I'll toss a coin.

ETA I forgot. Had a discussion with hubby last night about his move to the guest room and how permanent it's likely to be. He hemmed and hawed and sorta allowed as how maybe it would be good because he woke up the other night and had trouble sleeping etc. Which is his way of saying YES. So pretty soon I guess I'll clear out the closets in there so he can move his clothes in there too.

I've been using those cloests to store stuff since our house has NO storage space whatsoever. We have a 4' crawl space which is right on the dirt. So can't use that for storage. There's a storage shed out past the garage but he's filled it up with the lawn tractor and his ATV and it stinks of gasoline now so ...

I guess the cats and I will get used to sleeping without him. OTOH it does afford a lot of privacy for SO if I ever get in the mood.

So. Dream time. Don't get all excited. This was just plain sweet and wonderful and fully clothed. ;)

I had a difficult time falling asleep last night. Finally drifted off but woke up around 2A.M. after dreaming of The Hug.

And yes, it features you know who. Seems he's finally crashed through the door to my subconscious. "Jack" was waiting for something (I don't remember what) and I came up to talk to him. We hugged. That's it. BUT it was one of those hugs that last forever where you put your all into it. I closed my eyes as we stood there, arms wrapped around each other. That golden light encompassed everything and the longer we stood that way the more relaxed I became. to the point I almost felt drugged (cue Bob Dylan "Everybody Must Get Stoned"). He finally said he had to go but we'd hug again later in the afternoon.

I woke up from that with a smile on my face and feeling so peaceful.

So no interpretations on this one. I just want to enjoy that peaceful feeling without picking it apart. I already get most of it. I just want to let it be. It was just the nicest dream ever. Sweet, really, and short and to the point. No wandering around alien landscapes and dodging nightmares. Just ... a hug. OK just a little interpretation. Evidently the right side of my brain (me) and the left side of my brain ("Jack" in this instance) have decided to make peace with one another. Yay for the grounding mat.

Hey! The tri-tip was DEEELicious. Although I thought it was a bit too garlicky (if that's even possible). I didn't have garlic SALT so used the same amount of garlic POWDER. Um, don't do that again. The meat was so good and the pan sauce added just the right touch. I fixed cauli-mash to go with. Oh and at 25 minutes the meat was blood rare. mmmmmm.

Sausages and the rest of the cauli tonight with an acorn squash for hubby.

I had planned on going to the tanning salon today for my 8 minutes of sunlight burst but it's been snowing all night and it looks the driveway is only passable with the truck. Bother. Maybe I'll go anyway ... have to get DH to put it in 4 wheel for me. shoot.

That tri-tip sounds delicious! I can't believe it but I love my steaks bloody now. When I was much, much younger everything had to be well done then I learned how much better they were when they were "medium". Now, if they're not oozing blood I don't enjoy them!

I've gotten even more that way too! (lovin meat super rare)...I guess I just have permission! DH just stares at me.
Your dream was beautiful...a melding, or melting....
Yesterday DH and I had wine with lunch and I started talking....(not that unusual)...but I mean I just got down with some soul stuff...spirituality, and things that don't really fly with him...I just "let it flow"....why not? Ah, wine.

Oh, wait! This is Darleen's journal.....(see what I mean about talking?)

LOL ... keep going Jana ... I don't care where you post, just post!

OK gang. Got an N=1 for ya today. Yesterday I was feeling just so fine. Then we went to the movies to see the new Die Hard (run away as fast as you can ... it was so dreadful I give it a -5 rating). ANYway. By the time we got home I was feeling OFF. Kinda twitchy and just not quite right. And today I'm cranky.

Sooo I'm wondering. Intellectually I know all that violence is just pretend but does my body know that. I think not. I find myself tensing up during particularly uncomfortable scenes so I'm thinking that I'm not doing my poor adrenals any good by watching this crap. Maybe I should just start watching only porn, LOL. Good for oxytocin and not so hard on the adrenals, eh?

I just finally finished slogging my way through EMF5 for the first time. It took a while. I do have one observation. Kindly remember I only took one year of basic freshman physics about a million years ago. But the first thing that came to mind was why can't someone come up with a wave interference device that would cancel out the ELF we are generating. A small model that would work for your home and a personal model you could wear when you go out. I'm not immigrating to Mars. So we need to FIX what we've screwed up. Technology got us here and I don't see why it can't get us out of this mess. But then, what do I know.

And a note to Jack ('cause I know you read everything on this forum) ... You missed a spot. You traveled all over the map this winter doing a biohack but neglected (I'm pretty sure) the Rocky Mountain West and I do not mean New Mexico or Colorado (which has been so Californicated it is beyond repair). I'm talking Northern Wyoming and/or South to Southwestern Montana. I wouldn't wish the Dakotas on anyone (no offense to anyone here who lives there but you know what I mean) You get back into some of these places and ELF aside, you don't get much junk being thrown at you.

Our house BARELY gets satellite signals for the TV. We would need a 6-8' antenna on the ROOF to pick up regular TV transmissions and they're still snowy and grainy. Gee, I'm so sad about that. :p And we cannot get a cell signal at the house at all. darn. In town it's a soup like most places but not quite as bad as some. I'm glad we're out of town and I plan on staying here until they carry me out in a pine box.

I'm canceling netflix and have already disconnected the roku and the appletv. Ebay here we come. The microwave is next on my list. I've been keeping it unplugged except for the few times a day we use it (mostly to reheat a cup of coffee). Hubby grumbled "whatever" when I told him it was headed out the door. A pan on the stove works quite well and I'm sure we can get used to that again.

I'm still real concerned about the damned smart meter on the side of the house and I forgot there's another on the power pole out there. It belongs to the neighbors and is connected to their water pump down in the creek. WHY it's on our property I do not understand. So I"m going to do some research about ways to block the emissions from the house. There has to be something I can do. Chaps my backside that MDU is charging EVERYone $25 a month for the damned thing which basically means we pay them to have put people out of work. I just love privatization. It's just SO good for everyone in this society.

OK that's enough grousing. I told you I was cranky today. Feet on the earthing mat! It's overcast and cold (16° when I went to town). But Spring is around the corner. The evidence was on the road in front of our house. Cattle drive. Already. Yup, the joys of living in Wyoming. Cow flop all over the road. The late, lamented Allie McDog used to get SO excited when the drives started. You could see and hear them headed down Beaver Creek Road then they turn the herd down Big Goose and go right past our place. She'd be dancing and barking and running around. Then she'd have to settle for herding the cats. Never as much fun.

Can I come live with you? hehehe

yup. we're going to be getting rid of most everything.. .next investment is going to be a wired router and I'm dropping cable down to where we use the computers.. actually - maybe we'll just clean the office and start using the computers up there...

as for shielding - yes you can do it... but it will take a little work... on your walls - put copper mesh on them/weld the copper mesh sheets together and either slap another sheet of drywall up or wallpaper over copper mesh sheets - note you're going to have to do this to the ceiling, walls, floors etc. Fortunately DH knows how to do this... so next house we're going to do that...I think right now - intermediate remedy will be emf paint on our current house... which of course will piss off who ever buys the thing...

As far as your neighbors smart meter why can't you complain that its on your property and requests its removal - claim eye sore - claim you've spotted golden/bald eagles looking for nesting sites... I bet the power company will remove the thing ASAP if you tell them that... might even remove yours too!

Oh BTW - Suddenly I've been dreaming like crazy - not sure if its the increased Pg, or if its the magnetico sleep pad... but damn am I having weird dreams

can I say I'm disappointed to hear about your review of Die Hard ... may have to re-think going... and I love Bruce Willis...

Gretch ... sure. We have 4 acres. :)

I think the emf paint will have to do and I've never thought of claiming bald eagles as a reason to remove the damned things. That's brilliant! We have a pair that spend a lot of the summer cruising over the house.

A good day to DIE HARD ... it was just freakin' awful. The first 20 minutes was a car chase that had to have been written by 10 year old boys. It dragged it's sorry ass all over the screen, bullets flying constantly (I'm sure Jack would like THAT part  ) bodies everywhere ... there was a sort of a good idea buried in all the carnage but they kept losing it in favor of more bullets. Loud noises and more car crashes/chases. I have to admit the guy who plays John McClean's son sure is a hotty. Nice biceps. And other parts. By the time they got to the end you wanted to shoot yourself. And I was SO looking forward to it. Oh and they missed the perfect chance to repeat the line "Yippee ki yay Mother******). Perfect and they just walked right past it. I coulda used a laugh.
