As awesome as my boss is, skipping work just won't work unfortunately ...

Just went for a long hill walk then got in my pool for 1/2 an hour. It's 17 degrees now, so getting closer to the magical 10-13! Now sitting in the sun on the grass after a cold shower!

My shoulder has been sore for 3 years - no one event set it off and after X-rays, ultrasounds, specialists etc I didn't have a diagnosis, until I got sock of it all again about 3 months ago and got another set of scans done and this time they said it is an inflamed bursa. So I see a physio, take some anti-inflammatory tablets for 3-4 days a month, eat turmeric and now trying CT to reduce the inflammation so it can somehow magically heal itself! Actually Nick suggested I should he icing it up daily so I need to look at some ice packs that will do that. It would be good to get it sorted.

ice vest? do night shades bother you?

    C/T sure worked for me.......

I don't think night shades are a problem - tomatoes and eggplants, right?? Pretty sure I'm ok with them - what sort of reaction should I look for?

No ice vest - perhaps I should look into that too. Any recommendations there?

I'm feeling quite a lot of extra energy this afternoon after my version of CT today...

I have Eric's ice vest .... but I know fitness has another one that she is happy with - maybe pm her?
actually - I think Stella has the same one and I have seen it on her and it looks awesome!

nite shades are more .....there must be a list somewhere - even seasonings to be aware of.

Stella gets joint pain almost immediately - after peppers etc.

Also rice is a huge no no for her....

I've just looked at what nightshades are and don't think they are a problem but will pay closer attention to them - thanks!

Today I am wearing my blue blockers in front of my computer screen ... I have started working 4 days a week and noticed that my eyes are really tired and sore (moving from Mon, Wed and Fri to Mon, Tue, Wed and Fri) - seemed it was great having the Tue and Thur break for my eyes. I seem to remember someone here saying they wear the blue blockers when at a computer screen during the day ...

So, I am trying another experiment ... and getting some funny looks in the process :) :)

I need to get better at this journal stuff. It's been a while since I've been on the forum - life takes over sometimes. It was great to catch up in real life with a couple forum members lately and just talking to 'real' people about all of this is great. Each time I pick up another little clue or something to follow up on, so thank you :)

a few strange observations lately ...
    - 'itchy' throat (inside)
    - itchy knees (on the front surface)

    - still tired and some bloating (situation normal!)

    - shoulders so much better (I put that down to the new latex mattress from last July)

    - started to take a magnesium supplement as advised by naturopath and am also taking some drops to flush out lymph nodes in the armpit area (which showed up on a test as being blocked - maybe due to deodorant or potential link to breast tissue)

    - currently waiting on results from a hair allergy test - not sure how accurate this will be but thought I'd give it a try to see if there are any more clues there. Naturopath thinks tiredness might be due to a food allergy and thinks my stomach area is very inflamed. I will also attempt to keep a food diary.

It was great!! Jac has some pics which I'm sure Nick will post soon. I even ate prawn shells as Yew told me to ;) Lots of little clues just keep piecing together and I never would have worked it all out myself... so grateful to have found this forum and the wonderful people who are part of it.

Just some other notes for me ...
    - quite tight calf muscles for the last couple of months
    - feel tired tonight but can't sleep. Have been using blue blockers again regularly. Tonight is quite hot so have now put on the ceiling fan and I wonder if it might also have something to do with getting into the pool which was cooler than usual after all the rain??? I tend to get 'hot' after my limited attempt at CT - not that of class today as CT really - maybe it's just a hot night! I also fell and bashed my knee and ankle quite badly as I ungracefully tripped into the pool. Have had it in ice for a few hours so maybe a little extra heat and discomfort there too.

I've been keeping a good diary for around 10 days now. It's amazing shat you don't want to eat if you have to write it down!! Aside from no grain or sugar which is fairly normal for me now I am also not eating dairy or eggs. Something gives me tummy pains and bloating and I suspect it's eggs or dairy. The good thing is that I have lost cms and maybe even inches from my waist line!! I've never been one for weighing and measuring but when I put ony clothes and notice they are loose, and I feel good, then something must be right!

However I'm also taking some supplements and doing a bit of exercise so I don't know exactly what's working but I guess it's good anyway.

Just had 4 days in Rotorua and a funny observation re my fingers (which are usually a bit tight and sore every morning) ... they weren't in Rotorua! I did have a hot natural spa and sauna every night while away though ... wonder if that has anything to do with it. Also noticed that my period was very heavy just for day 1 and day 2 and then it was over - wonder if the hot spa had anything to do with that! (usually for last 12 months day 1 heavy and day 2-4 light) (and pre paleo and in the pill was always day 1-3 heavy and day 4-7 light).

Also been eating fresh sashimi every day or other day and two meals a day rather than 3 - just don't feel like I need to eat 3 and I seem to have more energy.

I'll keep noting and see what happens :)

I also seem to be eating just two meals a day which is a bit odd for me Breakfast seems to be around 8 or 9 am and is quite a good size (3 sausages and some sauteed cabbage and veggies) and then lunch/dinner is around 3 or 4pm. I seem to have plenty of energy, am getting lots of sleep and feel great, so I guess that's OK. I'll just keep going down this path I think..

I've also noticed that perhaps I have a bit of nut issue going on too. I bake 'paleo' treats in waves, freeze them, eat them (not between meals as snacks but as part of the meal). When I don't do that I feel much better ... lots of little observations that might just add up to something big later on.
