A friend of mine just received news that one of her children has Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency. They discovered that both she & her husband are carriers.

I'm wondering what the mitochondriac approach to this would be. Apparently it can cause serious lung & liver disease.

Genetic defects are different than mitochondrial ones. Thankfully they are rare.

Would CT & red light therapy be helpful here?

As long as they stay away from tobacco smoke, prognosis is favorable with possibly normal life expectancy
