Adrenal Fatigue = an inhibited PVN.

Adrenal Fatigue Rx: For Cortisol Elevation
    1. Control of cytokine response by controlling the fast acting eicosanoid hormone system
    2. Phosphatidyl choline and serine
    3. Neurotransmitter support
    4. The adaptogenic supplements/herbs
Adrenal Fatigue Rx: Chronically depressed cortisol
pregnenolone is diverted to produce cortisol
    pregnenolone steal syndrome,
DHEA and its metabolites, including progesterone, testosterone, and the estrogens. Vitamin D production will also be down regulated.
This inhibit the PVN of the brain
The Key Problem for Healing: Re-establish the progesterone to increase BDNF signaling
Abnormal Circadian Rhythm: Reversal to regain cellular signaling in the brain
    1. Cycloset use to reset the circadian cycle for a low cortisol in the AM.
follow IGF-1 and salivary diurnal melatonin levels to gauge progress.
Vitamin A, and not vitamin D controls
    2. Use natural sunlight to reset your SCN and repair your cortisol levels every morning as soon as you rise.
    3. The worse your ASI looks the more you might need to incorporate oxytocin as step two in your AM regimen after letting the sun hit your retina. After you rise you might consider using endogenous or exogenous oxytocin to exercise the new neural networks you are learning to rebuild in this blog.
    4. Big Ass Breakfast (BAB)
    5. Epi-Paleo Rx
    6. When the sun sets your artificial light needs to be minimized.
Based upon testing one might consider a low dose of progesterone one hour prior to bed.
    7. Phopshytidylcholine and serine via diet or supplements can be used here to make sure adequate glycerophospolipids are present to adequately re establish the cell membranes
DHA and iodine are also critical
adrenal stress index, but that does not go far enough. If you look at IGF-1 and melatonin levels you will see further evidence of altered signaling at the brain level.
adrenal fatigue also have blood pressure issue, issues with sleep and night time bathroom runs
number one killer of all humans today: Heart disease

When the neuronal Na/K ATPase is off we can make that extra 60{a7b724a0454d92c70890dedf5ec22a026af4df067c7b55aa6009b4d34d5da3c6} of energy the brain needs. When we can not do this what does the brain do? It changes the physiology of its neighbors who have the energy.

    metabolically efficient Na/K ratio
When we have an altered Na/K (low) ratio, this in turn, simultaneously cause brain metabolism to ratcheted down because its function is directly coupled to the efficiency of the Na/K ATPase for our species.

  16. "However, the long-term health consequences of low or high fluid intake have been poorly investigated. Preliminary evidence seems to indicate that chronic low fluid intake may impact kidney health, as it may be associated with a more rapid decline of kidney function and higher risk of chronic kidney disease."

I think that was written to create an argument when asking for newer ending research funds.
In his longer answer, dr Boros explains for the 1000's time that he is not against drinking when thirsty, but he is against flooding the body with water and killing thirst response.

And someone with numerous stents in arteries, arteriosclerosis, fatty liver and on kidneys dialysis
should not be brought as argument for indiscriminate drinking.

Same people that sell (good) Methylene Blue

    SKQ1 Bromide – Solution (30mL) (Spray Version)
SKQ1 (bromide) is an anti-oxidant that targets the mitochondria. In doing so, it decreases the transmembrane potential and reduces the production of reactive oxygen species

SKQ1 was found to slow cellular aging and extend lifespan.
SKQ1 has been shown to prevent neuronal loss and synaptic damage in rats with Alzheimer’s disease.
Studies have also demonstrated SKQ1’s ability to reduce the effects of arthritis in rats.
SKQ1 reduces the development of degenerative eye problems.

  19. hello

    hello Elena

Hi JanSz, thanks for these great posts about lamps / artificial lighting that I've just been perusing. I'm preparing to return to Sydney from Perth (e.g., from beautiful blue skies to basically a smoke haze) and want to supplement indoor lighting.

I have a white sperti, and I see from your graphs actually the fiji sperti is more powerful and has more of the UVA spectrum. I was finding real sun helps my eczema, but the white sperti not so much, and have been thinking it is perhaps a combination of less wavelengths (narrow wavelength) and also maybe I sit too far away from the lamp (maybe a metre, metre and a half).

Anyway I notice you are also supplementing with black lights and the exo-terra bulb. What is the difference between these two? Are you using both? If so is this just to get a broader spectrum of wavelengths?

At home in Sydney in winter I get as much sun as is possible, then supplement with white sperti and a near infrared (red) sauna (four bulbs on a board). But it doesn't replicate half an hour of sunbaking in actual sun!

UV Black light below, exo-terra above

Aah I think I just worked out the difference - exo-terra is a wide spectrum with a lot of IR light, the black light is narrow at 385-400. so if the point is maximising wavelength coverage I can see the argument for using both
