    Hi Jack,

Is there such a thing as "normal" neuronal dopamine firing rate/intensity?

Speaking in the context.. I suppose...

    Am I functioning?

    Do I perceive reality correctly?

Is there a longterm/short-term damage at this rate/intensity? Eg, taking mdma and consequences of the flood of serotonin

Is my mitochondria optimized at this dopamine level?

Not sure if this is more a philosophical question in terms of what "normal" functioning is. I think, perhaps, there are for sure hard lines though of what functioning is..certainly many famous artists weren't operating normally or without exogenous substance influence?
