Not really sure what to think of this.
And then of course come the medical applications:
This 'alternative respiratory machinery' is further explained on his group's website:

Waves are the pulse of the ocean and the spark the nature gives to life. These waves connect to the tides of the sea and connect to us in ways few observe. Tides bring food to creatures and take boats out to sea. An sailor has the impression that the ocean is made of waves than that it is made of water because of how he senses them. Heredity is about waves too. Most humans believe it is about genetic waves in the nuclear genome but guys like me think it is about the mitochondrial wave that are made by the light it liberates. It is general expression of the periodicity of organic life that is buried in our mitochondria. All generations belong to a continuous succession of waves of some sort, in which every single one resembles its predecessors and its followers yet changes because the world around forces that change.

Some secondary mito mentions in this one on Fibromyalgia: http://nationalpainreport.com/fibromyalgia-expert-says-misdiagnosis-is-rampant-8832803.html

"A second one is when you’re having trouble in the cells of your body making energy or the currency of energy called ATP, or adenosine triphosphate, you’ll be energy deficient. Your cells will be starving for energy, and this occurs in little organelles in the cell called mitochondria. The mitochondria are like the little energy plants of the cells. They can be really damaged by things like long courses of antibiotics. Certain types of antibiotics, like the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics, like Cipro, for instance, are really poisonous to mitochondria, but many other medications are harmful to mitochondria, including cholesterol-lowering drugs called statin drugs. They can really do a lot of damage to the mitochondria and the biochemistry of the mitochondria because they can cause profound CoQ10 deficiency, which is really important in mitochondrial biochemistry for energy production.

[Other causes for mitochondrial dysfunction include anemia and respiratory issues, like COPD.]"

"It can be concluded that the exposure to chronic hypoxia induces a shift from aerobic toward anaerobic catabolic metabolism. The hypoxia-induced increase in intracellular and mitochondrial ROS formation was not excessive and may be involved in endothelial signaling of hypoxic responses. Our results indicate an important role of succinate, complex II, and reverse electron transport in hypoxia-induced adjustments in endothelial cells."

Brand New podcast and I think one of the better one's I've ever done. Max is an amazing guy from Germany I met in London in 2106. Before the truth can set you free, you need to identify which lie is holding you hostage. We talk about that here.
Once you eliminate epistemology and ignore obvious controls.…..you can 'scientifically prove' just about anything to keep the grant money flowing in. That is modern science in a nutshell and it is why nutrition and food studies are worthless to a mitochondriac.
