    This was a nice little quote from the researchers who are working on melanin and human photosynthesis:

    "Through ingestion of food, our body is able to get the necessary carbon chains with varied and different characteristics required to build up skin,bone, muscle, neuron cells, blood cells, immune cells, etc., but those are unanimated compounds that become imbued with life by the eukaryotic cell throughout the constant and incessantly injection of energy during all the time that these compounds remain into our body. This vital never-ending flow of energy that occurs in every single cell of our organism and that makes life possible comes from melanin in humans, mammalians, and possible in many life´s form on earth."

    Optical properties of the melanin are central to its function. Melanin is the human chlorophyll; Melanin (S-cholesterol/D3/porphyrins) is to the animal kingdom as chlorophyll is to plant kingdom. Both molecules have the amazing capacity to split the water molecule at room temperature. But the process in chlorophyll is irreversible and melanin makes the process in two ways, the dissociation and reforming of the water molecule with the consequential release of energy.

    The human body has a photosynthesis system composed of Light/ Melanin/ Water, arranged in order of abundance in nature. Melanin is able to absorb the full electromagnetic spectrum, from radio to gamma rays, in contrast, chlorophyll just absorbs blue and red light (400 to 600 nm). Oppositely melanin has the intrinsic property to split and reform the water molecule, and the reaction happens as follows:

    2H2O ↔ 2H2 + O2 + 4e

    This means that melanin is a special kind of electrophile. CO2 and DHA also are electrophiles in biochemistry.

    Melanin has the astonishing capacity to split the water molecule at room temperature, for instance, in the laboratory, it is necessary to heat up water at 2000°C in order the reach the separation of hydrogen from the oxygen atoms. Moreover, melanin supports the reunification of water molecule giving off liquid water and four high energy electrons. Those electrons can be used to do physical work and perform optical signaling.     Beyond mitochondria, what would be the energy source of the cell?

    Currently, cell biology is based on glucose as the main source of energy. Cellular bioenergetic pathways have become unnecessarily complex in their eagerness to explain that how the cell is able to generate and use energy from the oxidation of glucose, where mitochondria play an important role through oxidative phosphorylation. During a descriptive study about the three leading causes of blindness in the world, the ability of melanin to transform light energy into chemical energy through the dissociation of water molecule was unraveled. Initially, during 2 or 3 years; we tried to link together our findings with the widely accepted metabolic pathways already described in metabolic pathway databases, which have been developed to collect and organize the current knowledge on metabolism scattered across a multitude of scientific articles. However, firstly, the literature on metabolism is extensive but rarely conclusive evidence is available, and secondly, one would expect these databases to contain largely the same information, but the contrary is true. For the apparently well studied metabolic process Krebs cycle, which was described as early as 1937 and is found in nearly every biology and chemistry curriculum, there is a considerable disagreement between at least five databases. Of the nearly 7000 reactions contained jointly by these five databases, only 199 are described in the same way in all the five databases. Thus to try to integrate chemical energy from melanin with the supposedly well-known bioenergetic pathways is easier said than done; and the lack of consensus about metabolic network constitutes an insurmountable barrier. After years of unsuccessful results, we finally realized that the chemical energy released through the dissociation of water molecule by melanin represents over 90% of cell energy requirements. These findings reveal a new aspect of cell biology, as glucose and ATP have biological functions related mainly to biomass and not so much with energy. Our finding about the unexpected intrinsic property of melanin to transform photon energy into chemical energy through the dissociation of water molecule, a role performed supposedly only by chlorophyll in plants, seriously questions the sacrosanct role of glucose and thereby mitochondria as the primary source of energy and power for the cells.

    Some of us are developing quantized technologies that utilizes the properties of melanin, porphyrins, hemoglobin, and blood plasma – which are all the animal analogues to chlorophyll. Plants utilize the green pigment chlorophyll to absorb energy from sunlight to breakdown carbon dioxide into sugars. This is well known, and taught in probably every elementary school across the world. What is not as well known, is that the dark colored pigment called melanin found in the skin of humans and other mammals can absorb various types of electromagnetic radiation. In fact, melanin appears capable of absorbing a much broader spectrum of such radiation than chlorophyll. This was proven when scientists noticed various fungi growing in radioactive environments actually seemed to be thriving. Testing of these fungi proved the melanin producing their dark color was absorbing gamma radiation and converting it to energy. Mexican researcher Dr. Arturo Solís Herrera. an ophthalmologist, has been performing research on disorders of the human eye. Most of you know the eye contains the perfect black box radiator for light. He started discovering the importance of the pigment Melanin in the RPE in regards to eye conditions. This was when I got interested in what he was doing but not for his commercial interests. He found for some reason, unknown to him, melanin a bio-genie amine seemed to protect the tissues of the eye. After extracting and applying melanin therapeutically to the eyes of patients, they saw results their claims were impressive clinically.

    As time went on it was discovered that melanin was actually collecting energy from electromagnetic radiation of the sun, and using it to split water atoms into hydrogen, oxygen, and four additional electrons. This process can also act in reverse because it is quantized. Such a reaction is not exothermic (releasing energy) but endothermic storing energy. Energy storage is a function of all the cell membranes in eukaryotes. The mitochondria matrix is filled with a colloid of hydrogen. This reaction creates a proton (H+) and sent to mitochondria where it can be recombined with oxygen to produce energy, Animals seem to use hydrogen as their version of a fuel cell. The cells can then use this energy to supplement the sugars the body provides them from the TCA cycle. Sugars are polymers of CO2, H2O, and sunlight. In this process, melanin acts like a catalyst which promotes the chemical reaction, but is not consumed by it. It is akin to an enzyme of photosynthesis.

    Melanin appears to act as a "super chlorophyll" due to its quantized advantages over regular chlorophyll. Melanin and eumelanin are to the animal kingdom what chlorophyll is to the plant kingdom to make energy in a cell. This augments ATP and generates most of the energy that life needs to run. Melanin has hundreds of reaction centers compared to the single reaction center in chlorophyll, the ability to absorb energy from a far broader portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, and capability to function for years outside of human tissue. Chlorophyll is believed to become totally inactive after only twenty seconds.

    The matrix is filled with increased levels of hydrogen in the mitochondria. It improves their function, and lower the production of free radicals while allowing calcium to flow in and out to create vibrations on the inner mitochondrial membrane. This links to Dr. Dough Wallace's research. This science could be very significant, because over time free radical production produces DNA deletions in the mitochondria that cannot be effectively repaired. This is what drives % heteroplasmy in aging. Unlike nuclear DNA, mitochondrial DNA is located in loops because of its bacterial lineage. Once these loops of DNA are damaged the efficiency of the mitochondria is reduced, more free radicals are produced, and a cascade of damage begins. Mitochondrial damage limits energy production in a cell.

    Science is messy and therefore people with medical issues life is disheveled. People hammer out the details, usually in a disconnected fashion. Then finally someone synthesizes disparate information in a more palatable form, then you see it on Good Morning America and everybody is like, "we knew it all along." Consider the 1978 Nobel Prize as a great example of what ails us. It was a great piece of science. We use chemiosmosis and proton gradients to make charges and capacitor. But ATP is not what Mitchell said it was or what modern biology or medicine think it is. From the 1978 press release: "Cells of green plants as well as certain bacteria and algae can capture energy by means of chlorophyll directly from sunlight - the ultimate source of energy for all life on Earth - and utilize it, through photosynthesis, to convert carbon dioxide and water into organic compounds. Other cells, including those of all animals and many bacteria, are entirely dependent for their existence on organic compounds which they take up as nutrients from their environment. Through a process called cell respiration, these compounds are oxidized by atmospheric oxygen to carbon dioxide and water.

    During both photosynthesis and respiration, energy is conserved in a compound called adenosine triphosphate, abbreviated as ATP. When ATP is split into adenosine diphosphate (ADP) and inorganic phosphate (Pi), a relatively large amount of energy is liberated, which can be utilized, in the presence of specific enzymes, to drive various energy-requiring processes. Thus, ATP may be regarded as the universal 'energy currency' of living cells." So what is my quantum beef? No one did the energy budget of a cell based upon Mitchell's ideas. The one major problem with the press release........no added up all the ATP made and the energy costs in a cell. If they did they would have noticed something shocking. Cellular energy cost exceeded ATP supply by a 500 fold margin back in the 1970's using that era's technology. Today in the 2010's, biophysicists have repeated those study was repeated and the deficit is now 3000 fold. Every day we go further from Peter Mitchell's Nobel Prize we are further from the truth because of that one wrong turn in biologic history. The next question should have been where does the energy come from then? Answer: It comes from sunlight and the interaction of light on our surfaces with cell water.

    We have a photosynthetic path that uses melanin and porphyrins and hemoglobin in blood. No one will ask that question because we gave a dude a Noble prize without ever checking his energy math.     Could melanin make photosynthesis likely in animals? Photosynthesis in plants is considered the most important chemical reaction in the world because is the first step in the food chain. The first clues of the process were detected by Lavoisier and others during the XVIII century, but the exact nature of the chemical reactions involved remain poorly understood. Moreover, dissociation of the water molecule constitutes the very first reaction of photosynthesis in plants, and was unsuspected, even unthinkable in human beings, until we found it in human retina in 1990s.     Thus, instead of energy the word biomass should be used: In this way, light is turned into matter and mass directly in cells.
