I went into my local snake and lizard store to ask about a UV light. The clerk asked what kind of reptile I have - I said it's for me. The look on his face was priceless lol. The light they have is both UVA & UVB - 50/50. How handy is that. The clerk said UVA increases mating in lizards. This should be interesting.

I do not remember dr K setting upper limit on oxytocin.

    Our new UVB spectrums come with different, easier to understand names;

[IMG] Reptile UVB 100 [IMG] Reptile UVB 150 [IMG] Reptile UVB 200
The numbers 100, 150 & 200 refer to the average UVB output at 4" or 10 cm from the bulb. All our new UVB bulbs have been designed for maximum vitamin D3 photosynthesis, by concentrating the UVB output near the 294 nm within the UV output. At this wavelength vitamin D3 synthesis is most active!

UV-A works by converting N and O stored in the skin, into NO. ----> Reduces heart diseases.
    Viagra works by releasing NO.
I think Cialis works similarly to Viagra but its action lasts 36 hrs

Could we replicate UV-A action by taking Cialis (both men and women)?

Physicists Discover a Way to Confine Electromagnetic Radiation
    27 Aug 2015
Physicists have found a radical new way confine electromagnetic energy without it leaking away, akin to throwing a pebble into a pond with no splash. The theory could have broad ranging applications from explaining dark matter to combating energy losses in future technologies.

However, it appears to contradict a fundamental tenet of electrodynamics, that accelerated charges create electromagnetic radiation, said lead researcher Dr Andrey Miroshnichenko from The Australian National University (ANU).

“This problem has puzzled many people. It took us a year to get this concept clear in our heads,” said Dr Miroshnichenko, from the ANU Research School of Physics and Engineering.

The fundamental new theory could be used in quantum computers, lead to new laser technology and may even hold the key to understanding how matter itself hangs together.

    Dr Miroshnichenko commented:

Ever since the beginning of quantum mechanics people have been looking for a configuration which could explain the stability of atoms and why orbiting electrons do not radiate.

The absence of radiation is the result of the current being divided between two different components, a conventional electric dipole and a toroidal dipole (associated with poloidal current configuration), which produce identical fields at a distance.

If these two configurations are out of phase then the radiation will be cancelled out, even though the electromagnetic fields are non-zero in the area close to the currents.

Dr Miroshnichenko, in collaboration with colleagues from Germany and Singapore, successfully tested his new theory with a single silicon nanodiscs between 160 and 310 nanometres in diameter and 50 nanometres high, which he was able to make effectively invisible by cancelling the disc’s scattering of visible light.

This type of excitation is known as an anapole (from the Greek, ‘without poles’).

Dr Miroshnichenko’s insight came while trying to reconcile differences between two different mathematical descriptions of radiation; one based on Cartesian multipoles and the other on vector spherical harmonics used in a Mie basis set.

“The two gave different answers, and they shouldn’t. Eventually we realised the Cartesian description was missing the toroidal components,” Dr Miroshnichenko said.

We realized that these toroidal components were not just a correction, they could be a very significant factor.

Dr Miroshnichenko said the confined energy of anapoles could be important in the development of tiny lasers on the surface of materials, called spasers, and also in the creation of efficient X-ray lasers by high-order harmonic generation.

Why electrons in a particular orbit of an atom do not radiate energy?
The earlier theory says that any charge will radiate energy if it cahnges direction or magnitude or both.

    Best Answer:
Start thinking of electrons in an atom as probability clouds...or regions of space around the atom at a given radius where the probability is high that the electron will exist. Bohr theory ("orbits") is not complete, in fact it's not an accurate depiction of the electrons in an atom.

The reason the electron's don't radiate while "orbiting" is that they don't "orbit" anything!! Instead, there are regions of space around the atom where the probability of an electron existing at any instant is non-zero. Excited electrons may lose energy and drop to a lower energy level (to a smaller radius from the atom), in which case the electron will radiate energy in the form of a photon whose energy is equal to the difference in energy levels (excited state - lower state).

As a concrete example, this radiation from dropping to lower energy states is the basis of lasing action and the principle on which lasers operate.

As I said, think in terms of the quantum mechanical description of the electron rather than the Bohr theory. It's not over your head, believe me, just study quantum mechanics. Start with the electron in a Hydrogen atom, it's the simplest case (a 1 electron atom!!)

Defy Doctors Speak About Their Clinical Experience in Improving Men's Health

Some of the questions that doctors will be answering on Wednesday on our webcast:
*When do you decide to prescribe T injections vs creams?*

*How do you manage the different side effects? (Hematocrit, acne, hair loss, testicular atrophy, decreased fertility, gynecomastia, etc)*

*With regard to using TRT sub-cutaneously, what is the optimal dosage? What ester is best? If T propionate is faster acting (shorter half life), wouldn’t a small daily micro sub-q dosage better mimic natural production and hence less endocrine system disruption in the longer term?*

*Do men who use anastrozole or other AIs due to high estradiol see improvements in nipple sensitivity, libido, edema, mood, etc? What is considered high estradiol?*

*What does hCG really do for men who are on lifelong TRT (not interested in having children anymore) other than increasing testicular volume?*

*Percentage-wise, what is your best guess about how many men who start TRT :

a- have to adjust the testosterone dose due to side effects and/or benefits

b- have to take anastrozole or another AI to manage high estradiol

c- have to stop TRT due to lack of efficacy or side effects

    d- use hCG

e- have to use Ed drugs to enhance erectile function

f- have to use TRIMIX to enhance erections since ED drugs may not work effectively (explain TRIMIX briefly)*

*Let’s discuss Cialis. How should it be used as preventative daily medication for BPH? Dosage amount? Expound on the anti-atherosclerotic effects?*

*Why is Aromasin (Exemestane) not prescribed more as an AI in men using TRT? Look at the conclusions of this study What would be the optimal dosage for a man weekly?*

*Why is Ipamorelin not prescribed more in lieu of other peptides like Sermorelin? Ipamorelin has been conclusively proven to be the peptide of choice in relation to least amount of side effects. Do most doctors just script Sermorelin due to it’s FDA approval?*

    UVA1 phototherapy
Ultraviolet A1 (UVA1) is a newer form of phototherapy that uses only the longer,
    non-erythemogenic UV wavelengths (340 to 400 nm),
thus reducing the risk of sunburn reactions associated with the shorter-wavelength
    UVA2 (320 to 340 nm) and UVB (290 to 320 nm).
    UVB therapy (broadband and narrowband)
Broadband ultraviolet B (UVB) radiation (280 to 320 nm),
311 to 313 nm (narrowband UVB)

Psoralen plus ultraviolet A (PUVA) photochemotherapy
Psoralen plus ultraviolet A (PUVA) photochemotherapy combines the administration of psoralens, a class of phototoxic plant-derived compounds, with an exposure to ultraviolet A radiation (UVA)

Hi JanSz, I hope you are doing well. My doctor tried scheduling an appointment with the specialist who deals with bioidentical hormones. According to my doctor's receptionist they want me to get diagnosed by a urologist as having hypogonadism before they can see me. All my lab tests are showing low T levels for the last 8 years and trending downwards. My recent lab was my lowest ever. I did get on some natural herbs that purportedly raise T levels. We shall see. I will call the doctor myself and see if I can circumvent their request. Best regards.

Do not spend $$ on natural herbs, waste.
That specialist thing is lots of bs.
    You need 250iu-HCG/EOD and 4 pumps/day of Androgel 1.62
All the rest is just to make you appreciate how hard they work for your happiness.
In the mean time you are miserable and have no reason to ask a girl for a date.

Doctor's go by the book. Actually books. You have to find doctor that preaches from the book you like.

Possibly I have put too much emphasis on need to use HCG.
If you can go without balls, it will/maybe easier.

    See post #288.
Defy doctors will give you HCG and what else you may need but:
1.they want to be paid by cash
2.not sure what the (government) company you work for would need to be satisfied

I have worked in place that required random urine testing, it can be PITA.
You have to research that first and get familiar with what they may want.

    dr @Jack;
Since you may be looking at this post, general question but pertaining to eddie:

if one would use normal amounts of testosterone, HCG, GH and some other normally used in this general area,
would he trip random drug testing test? Often it is urine test.

    or put different way,
does he need employer's permission to use those prescription and OTC substances?

Output spectrum of a typical metal-halide lamp

    Ultraviolet A UVA 320 – 400nm
Long wave, black light, not absorbed by the ozone layer
    Ultraviolet B UVB 290 – 320nm
Medium wave, mostly absorbed by the ozone layer
    Ultraviolet C UVC 100 – 290nm
Short wave, germicidal, completely absorbed by the ozone layer and atmosphere
I note that spectrum of typical metal halide lamp ends at 350nm.

So there is only part of UVA and no UVB.

If above applies to all metal halide lamps,
that would explain why actinic fluorescence tubes are often/always added to salt water aquariums. Often prepacked in one enclosure Metal Halide + actinic fluorescence tubes.

    Emission line spectrum
The strongest peaks of the emission line spectrum are[8][9]

Line spectrum of mercury vapor. The blue-green tint of mercury vapor lamps is caused by the strong violet and green lines.
Wavelength (nm) Name (see photoresist) Color
    184.45 ultraviolet (UVC)
    253.7 ultraviolet (UVC)
    365.4 I-line ultraviolet (UVA)
    404.7 H-line violet
    435.8 G-line blue
    546.1 green
    578.2 yellow-orange
In low-pressure mercury-vapor lamps only the lines at 184 nm and 253 nm are present. Only the light at 253 nm is usable. Synthetic quartz can be used in the manufacturing to keep the 184 nm light from being absorbed. In medium-pressure mercury-vapor lamps, the lines from 200–600 nm are present. The lamps can be constructed to emit primarily in the UV-A (around 400 nm) or UV-C (around 250 nm). High-pressure mercury-vapor lamps are those lamp commonly used for general lighting purposes. They emit primarily in the blue and green.

On post #293 above I posted about

    hopefully it contains UV-C filter.

    Any body wish to guess???

The Inda-Gro Light is an Electromagnetic Fluorescent Discharge Light (EFDL).
A good EFDL lamp is like a fluorescent lamp on steroids,
with no electrodes to wear out quickly,
based on Nicola Tesla's well-known principles,
light can be generated via a gas discharge through electromagnetic induction.
