    Thank you.
Is there a way to look up this test?

    ..
That place only sells used UV bulbs.

Jack is using UV fertility light for his daughter.
He tells about it in current blog.
I re posted that picture above.
The bulb that he is using is a spiral bulb.
It would be nice to figure out what bulb it is and where to get it.

You can buy the bulb directly from manufacturer . Mr Light:

    http://www.mrlight.com/products/Hal...ent_Screw_In_Anywhere_True_UV_Blacklight.html

From what I read on the subject all other bulbs are painted to look like uv. Since uv can be dangerous if you stare it - I"m guessing they are being careful and not selling true uv lights - avoid lawsuits ect ect.... UV-C light is very dangerous to look at. UV-B causes the tan & UV-A is what's found in the bulb.

UV is not dangerous if you stare at it in a bulb in which you know the spectrum

What are the human daytime photosynthetic chemicals that full spectrum sunlight generates? Vitamin D3, histamine, cortisol, and sulfhydryl groups added to cholesterol in the skin I mentioned in Tensegrity 7 blog post.

What does full spectrum sunlight destroy naturally? UV light lowers adrenalin the stress hormone of the sympathetic nervous system while its photons re zip collagen that cortisol release at 4AM began to unwind to wake our body and mind up at dawn from sleep. When we are missing UV and/or full spectrum sunlight in someone who is chronically stressed, sleep can be induced. Think about your childhood when you spent the day at the beach and got a sunburn. This induces sleep. The redness comes not from a burn but from the increase blood flow to the skin to absorb the UV light. Deep sunburns can result excessive sun or thin skin or a poor adaptation to seasonal light due clothing or sunblock use in strong light cycles.

This sleep is a sign of how bad your daily environment really is. UV and IR AM light normally lowers aberrant steroids (CT 7) and nucleic acids in keratinocytes without any liberation of heat on the skin's surface. This helps preventing aberrant optical scattering of cell signaling below (non linear optics). The epidermis has no nuclear DNA because as we rise to the surface DNA is exposed to a cells interior as the cell dies and DNA absorbs all UV light frequencies as a free chemical within the epidermis. It acts as a natural sun protectant or sun blocker. The more photodegredation we sense the more skin cells show up in the epidermis and the skin thickens in summer months. Melanin also absorbs all UV frequencies to serve as a storage protein for the power of UV light to give to other atoms and molecules in the skin. In this way your skin acts like a crystal.

Members who listened to the 2015 Sept got this implicitly.

the worse the myopia the longer you need in AM or PM sunlight. I avg 1-2 hours per day. Days in surgery I try to get 4 or more

In a myopic eye light does not fall at the fovea where it should, and it is devoid of AM UV frequencies. This means non full spectrum sunlight falls short of choroid and lands anterior to the retina,

take the glasses or contact off and look 15-25 degrees away from the sun but in its East wood direction…….how long depends upon your latitude and personal context.

This may have to do with fovea, Jack mentions in other paces in 24 blog.

Fovea (Latin for pit) is a term in anatomy. It refers to a depression in a structure.

    I am using android phone.
If you have iPhone, please check the available light bulbs and tell us which one may be acceptable as a source of UVA + UVB.
    ======================================
Now you can see all of the emission spectra of these light sources with our new iPhone app: SpectraSnapp if you can’t find a plastic spectrometer on the internet.

  9. What is the exact protocol for looking the sun in the am as it rises? How long? I've heard 1-3 minutes from Jack's video interviews. If the sun is too bright, assuming it's later than when it just rises, are we supposed to close our eyes, but still look directly at the sun without our eyes closed? For how long?

While in process of trying to decide how much ultraviolet to give the animals, my wife and I had dinner one evening in a restaurant known as "Well of the Sea," in the basement of the Hotel Sherman in Chicago. As soon as we entered the restaurant I noticed that there were black light ultraviolet lights placed throughout the ceiling. They had been installed solely for ornamental purposes, to cause designs on the waiters' coats, as well as the menus, to fluoresce in the otherwise subdued light. The next morning I went back to the restaurant with a meter to measure the intensity of the ultraviolet at various distances from the ceiling, such as table level and the eye level of the waiters as they walked directly under the various light fixtures.

I am still somewhat confused about ways to remedy lighting.
Starting with natural ways (source and timing) that we would use as a benchmark of optimal.

    -----
    we evolved with (seasonal changes):
    sunrise - 10AM - (UV-A) + (UV-B)
sunrise - sundown - white light from sun
sundown - sunrise -dark, star light, moon light, fire light
    but
in the last 0.0001% of evolution time (last 120 years) all this have drastically changed
    -----
There are two major groups (from Alexander Wunsch MD video)
equatorial, between tropics (constant lighting) (I was uncomfortable being there for a year)
northern hemisphere, tropic up to arctic circle (seasonal lighting)
    -----
    today,
    lack of (UV-A) + (UV-B)
    blue artificial light after sundown
    creates major havoc,
rampaging myopia (self reinforcing), low all kinds of hormones, low sex, low fertility, low ability to procreate, lack of circadian rhythm, cancers
    -----
People who lack the AM sunlight,
lack ability to absorb AM UV-IR light. ====>> Sleep Apnea
    =======================================================
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Obvious remedy would be to spend some time outside within (sunrise to 10AM)
    but
video in previous post and article (link ??) mentions good healthy crew in Chicago restaurant being exposed to Black Light= (UV-A) + (UV-B) for about 20 years.
That must mean that any time is better than nothing, still that would be rather drastic compromise.
Dr @Kruse placed black light bulb in his daughter's bedroom and calls it fertility light.
Hopefully some time he will chime in with timing and type of bulb he is using (including ling on where to buy it). He already have link to lowbluelights, but they do not sell BlackLights.
    ------------------------------
Looking at Alexander Wunsch MD video, I see one major difference in regard to (UV-A) + (UV-B).
Dr Wunsh shows on his slide symmetrical light distribution. (UV-A) + (UV-B) around noon.
    Dr @Kruse states that (UV-A) + (UV-B) is there till about 10AM.
    His words:
    https://forum.jackkruse.com/index.php?threads/low-cortisol-levels.14194/page-10
    Kruse writes
For the last ten years, I began to to find time every morning at sunrise to reconnect with those fundamentals in my life.
    Also:
Day light has shorter wavelength UV in 290-380 range, where twilight has the 381-500 range blue light.

    ----
So I would still worry about obeying Circadian Rhythm.
    -------------------------------------------
This slide from Wunsch MD video, is less precise than what dr @Kruse says.

Watch this video from 1:40 thru 4:40. This is the key missing piece to how life works.
UV AM light electrifies and charges water to transfer photonics energy to electrical charges.

Without UV light it is IMPOSSIBLE TO make the proper free radical signals in cells. That is the key point. Do not forget this small nugget. It carries the weight of the QUILT upon it.

    Nope. Bad idea jan

    ==================

And I have almost thought that I understand.

    ..
    But now Jack says this:

We are designed to be a full spectrum sun light bulb closer to the incandescent.......and our technology is moving us to an alien sun........called an LED blue lit bulb. That bulbs is extinguishing our light, and all other life forms because we all work the same way..........UV in AM and avoidance (of??) or long wavelength blue frequencies at night. (460-480 nm)

    Young Chinese male with glasses.
90% of young Chinese in early 20's have myopia.
    Korean's have even bigger problem.
Japanese boys do not care about having sex, similarly with their girls.
Constantly wearing glasses block UV's and reinforces myopia.
Dr Kruse promised to (latter on) post protocol on how to deal with this problem.
My (Caucasian) grandson, 9yo, also have myopia, could use good suggestions.

Hi Jan, Hope you are doing well. Thanks for the heads up. I will look at those videos when I get home tonight. Have been getting as much sun as possible lately. Early morning and evening. I am also watching the sun set everyday. Been sleeping a little better. No energy, but at least I am sleeping. Went to bed at 9:45PM last night and woke up twice, but was able to get back to sleep and woke up at 5AM, and then got up. Best regards.

I just got reptile light (see below).
It is (ugly) white. Practically it looks just about as it is shown on picture below. There is visible only small amount of blue on the edges.
The frequency content is shown on chart.

The picture in Jack's daughter bedroom shows light that looks much more blue.
However I remember seeing actinic light in my wife's aquarium, or black light somewhere else, it usually looks much darker blue then the light I got.
More like dark blue in the Well of the Sea restaurant in Sherman Hotel, that I posted on post #210.
