Well, here we are at Day 1 of the LeptinRx. I made my video for the LCHF Youtubers and here it is: http://youtu.be/bqCpklQRfOI. Here are my stats for the week:

    FBG 126
    Evening BG 113
    Morning Ketones 1.2
    Weight 237.8
    Released this week -8.4
    Total released 23.6
    Avg release 1.82
    Hip/waist/bust 55/49/52.5

I was really happy to see my evening BG. I will get in a Colpak on my upper back tonight and start face dunking tomorrow. Gonna look into compression garments asap. I bought one of those gizmos for the tub listed in Dr K's store to keep the tub from draining. I'd really like to get a stock tub and put it out front (will see if I can have one for Christmas).

My food for the day was:

    Breakfast (7:15 AM EST):
3 5 oz cans of pink salmon with a splash of MCT and some mayo
decaf coffee with 2 tb coconut milk (just the cream part from the top)

    Lunch (11 AM EST):
2 heads romaine with mct/mustard/ACV dressing
    2 TB Bubbie's sauerkraut

    Dinner (4:15 PM EST):
2 c mushrooms in coconut oil
1 5 oz can pink salmon with splash of MCT oil
decaf coffee with 2 tb coconut milk (just the cream part from the top)

I woke up to pee at 5 AM then went back to bed until 6:18 AM. Kept sleep mask on except for when I went to pee (put blublockers on for that). When I woke up at 6:18 AM I put my breakfast together and took care of Mom's meds and Mom and hubby's breakfasts. I kept my blublockers on until official sunrise (7:06 AM I think). Then I ate my breakfast by 7:15 AM and walked across the street and did about 5 minutes of sungazing. Did my evening sungazing through sliding glass door today but will go out on the porch going forward as I do not know if the glass door has any coatings.

I am not sure if my morning routine is correct. Tried to stay in bed as long as I could without impacting getting my breakfast into my pie hole before the end of the golden hour (as defined in the iPad app called SOL I installed that shows it as being that first hour or so after official sunrise):

    sunrise.JPG

I am wondering if it is workable for me to get out of bed about 40-45 minutes before official sunrise and eat breakfast starting right after sunrise, finishing before the end of the golden hour.

I will list my supplements later. I am hoping that my dry flaking skin will improve after having read Dr K's comments on other people's questions about it (regarding Vitamin D and cricadian mismatch). Anyway, will add the youtube video after I get Mom to go to sleep later.

Aah just found this in Ask jack: http://forum.jackkruse.com/index.php?posts/46292/

    Blessings :)

Ooh good, thanks, I will try to stay with only cold showers and see if that helps me. And thanks for the protein idea, as I have been pretty low on the protein due to fear induced by all the gluconeogenesis dogma out there :)

Been doing bpc, what is mhs again please?

hello Kristi, I like this journal, its very organised--I had planned on doing mine the same way but it became haphazard.....a bit like me really!!!......my dry skin has improved significantly even before dunking legs in cold lake....I have a link from Nicole on my journal to some shoes you could wear in the river.

Howdy, lovely peeps! It's been a great day today, I hope yours have been great as well!

I woke up and peed at 3 AM (slept with sleep mask - switched to amber glasses for pee trip), back to sleep, got awakened by alarm at 5 AM, back to sleep, got up at 6:14 AM and fixed breakfast. Kept amber glasses on.

Ate breakfast at official sunrise at 7:07 AM and did sun gazing for about 5 minutes at 7:31 AM.

    FBG: 126
    Evening 8:27 PM BG: 108
Ketones: Did not measure - will use Ketonix tomorrow - blood test strips once a week

1 75g can of smoked kippers
    2 TB Bubbie's sauerkraut

    Dinner (4:15 PM EST):
2 c mushrooms in coconut oil
1 5 oz can pink salmon with splash of MCT oil
decaf coffee with 2 tb coconut milk (just the cream part from the top)

I did my first day of face dunking. Use a snorkel and swim cap and did a couple dunks of about 30 seconds in a plastic tub on the kitchen counter. That was enough because I started panicking due to the water coming into my nose. I got on Amazon.com and bought a nose plug. Will practice on relaxing my breathing (I have never snorkeled and doing this with my eyes closed seemed to bring on the panic even more).

I also bought this portable tub today and expect it to arrive the second half of the month. I cannot leave the house much so this will make it much easier for me to get my CT in.

I am very excited about it!

    Blessings to All :)

Hi Caroline, someone had mentioned using a snorkel so one could keep one's face under longer without having to hold one's breath, so when I was at Walmart I saw one and decided to get it :) On the romaine, it comes to about three cups, decided to do that just to get the nitrogen in for the photoelectric effect in the skin that Dr K said was part of what made Dr Wahls' protocol successful. I figured 3 cups would keep the carbs low and fill my belly well too...and as a vehicle for the oil :) I know Dr K said we don't need carbs so I will wean myself off of the lettuce...

Awesome, I am glad you like the tub, I figure it has a nice small footprint so I can tweak the right placement as I go along...

There is an older thread here with some good ideas:

    http://forum.jackkruse.com/index.php?threads/stock-tank-tips-tricks.946/page-4

Check out post #70. I forwarded my husband this thread for the ideas. We hope to pick up a chiller this weekend off of craigslist. He is good at building things and has loads of experience with large aquarium set ups (fresh and saltwater).

Just call me a mermaid :D
