    Some people here are drinking exorbitant amounts of water.
    Not sure how, but they can do it.
    In extreme, I have seen reports of 7L/24hr urine (average size, lean man).

    How to figure healthy amount of required daily water intake?

    More important
    how to figure optimal hydration
    how to manipulate to get there

    Human hydration indices: acute and longitudinal reference values.
    http://www.europeanhydrationinstitute.org/human_hydration.html

    Results indicated that the mean total fluid intake in beverages, pure water, and solid foods was >2.1 L/24 hr (range 1.382-3.261, 95% confidence interval 0.970-3.778 L/24 hr);
    mean urine volume was >1.3 L/24 hr (0.875-2.250 and 0.675-3.000 L/24 hr);

    [IMG][IMG](The two pictures provide a very quick test. Pinch the skin on back of your hand and if when released your skin is raised you may be dehydrated.)

  7. People that are sick/old(er) in general. If I understand correctly, dehydration means flushing out much needed energie that is stored in water (Gerard Pollock) and more inflamation due to lack of water, needed for signaling.

    However, since it can make you feel good. I guess it can be used in some specific instances related to circadian rithm. Not sure how though as I am not that far in yet.

    Excluding some stressful situations, dehydration is not about lack of water.
    It is about loss of ability to hold or manage water.
    We are mostly light + water.
    So my questions would not be about supplemental Florinef (Fludrocortisone) or Vasopressin, antidiuretic hormone (ADH) use, but rather why
    Renin Angiotensin Aldosterone System
    gets out of tune

    and how to bring it back to normal.
    All while drinking 1-2L of water daily.
    Forget about gallons.
    I would exclude common and obvious:
    fever, heat exposure, too much exercise,
    vomiting, diarrhea, diabetes.
    Likely anything that have ICD-10 code could be excluded (or put on hold).

    What is left:
    messed up Circadian Rhythm
    nnEMF

    Is dehydration a neolithic disease like Parkinson's, MS, ADHD??
    Is it membrane problem or mitochondria or %heteroplasmy?
