Any one here doing intermittent fasting along with lifting and perhaps some sprints/ conditioning? If so what are your experiences with carb cycling such as in Leangains, Martin B. method? I know Dr. Jack has talked about it in one of his blogs.

I am lean now 5-6% body fat and have done the LG IF.... Trying to see how carbs may play into this. As of right now I have been doing the Leptin RX and started CT.... been doing CT for 3 weeks now. Looking to optimize my approach along with lifting, getting strong, fast and optimizing my health and athletics.

Been at Keto now for 4 weeks and thinking of adding back in the fasting, (16/8 up to 20/4) skipping breakfast and adding in carbs post workout..... Perhaps not as much carbs but using whey, protein source/ BCAA's and some fruit/ Berries and perhaps a sweat-potato post workout. Winter months I will take it more into all VLC, keto and use protein, coconut oil, fish oil and BCAA's, more for post workouts. Summer allowing more seasonal fruits/ paleo carb sources to add in carbs.

Would still see if I can get down to around 4-5% body fat and maintain it.....

Just looking for others thoughts that have been working with this and what may be optimal.

    So:

Off/ rest days, VLC days (4 days a week)

Workout/ Lifting days moderate carb up and protein days (3 days a week). This day fat will be lower as in a re-feed day. Mark Sisson discusses this on his blog to help reset leptin and shed fat. Kind of a reset day. Alternate summer more carbs with winter 2-3 months keto.

Hoping to start a thread to discuss optimizing performance using fasting, working out, diet around workouts, CT and circadian rhythm..... All the while staying with the "Ancient Pathway" and getting optimum gene expression.
