If UV and IR are invisible what do we see from blacklights and heat lamps ?

    If UV and IR are invisible what do we see from blacklights and heat lamps ? There is certainly "light" to be seen...

    you see visible light. lamps aren't perfect and there is always unwanted unefficient "light".note.. experiments have shown that some people can see ir up to about 1000nm if i recall.
    But yeah it's uneficiencies in the design of lamps basically.
