That is why I need to get serious about how I'm going to take my now LS body to the next level. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do it in my CF box. Now that I'm within ht/wt standards for the USMC, I'm now attacking the body composition portion. And since the USMC uses the tape measure... they are tough on belly/butt fat.

How did you manage 7 months of leptin rx?I've only been in a month and the boredom of meat /eggs/non-starchy veg is starting to set in for me. Sheesh. I sound like "Lisa" , Robb Wolf's old nightmare client.

Since you mentioned a leaky gut, what seasonings do you use? The no nightshade rule banned almost all the spices I normally rely on.

Ooorah! And wow, reading that MCO, things have changed a lot since my time in the Corps. Back then, it was strictly a height/weight chart. A lot of us had low BF%, but were bulked up with (vanity) muscle...luckily, there was never any formal action taken for being "overweight" if you could do well on the PFT.

I never cut out night shades or eggs. I just love the Rx way of eating, it suits my life and habits perfectly. I wasn't strict for 7 months though.

Ginastarke -- I have cut out nightshades and eggs, which is limiting, especially because I LOVE spicy foods with chilis, peppers, tomatoes, paprika, etc.

One thing I did was stockpile my seasoning cabinet with new goodies. When I have a hankering for spicy, I choose curries instead. I regularly use a wide variety of spices, changing it up everyday so I don't get bored of the meat and veggies. Just a few I use: turmeric, garlic, onion powder, mustard powder, sage, fennel, S&P, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, cilantro, parsley, basil, oregano, rosemary...the list can go on and on! I make my own sausage -- using ground pork and sometimes turkey. I make sweet meats with pork -- cocoa, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, allspice. I make spicy stuff -- curry, turmeric, garlic, cumin, etc. The sky is the limit. Get creative! Enjoy!
