My main issues are anxiety, depression, and I fall to pieces over the slightest stress. But thanks in large part to Dr. Kruse's wisdom I am moving to Phoenix, Arizona to get more sunlight.

I'm 49 years old and dad flew down to Phoenix with me this week to help me find a house.

I have a chronic problem with staying up all night messing around on my laptop or phone and sleeping during daylight hours, which I think from what I've reading means i should try something called a leptin reset?

I'm not sure what EZ water is - is that bottled spring water?

I have always eaten a lot of junk food too so I want to learn how to eat better.

    Hi MissyMoo50
Human race started some place around Lake Victoria in Africa.
Eventually we migrated around the world.
We are creatures of light, sunlight.
Sunlight provides (or should provide) directly 2/3 of energy we need for life.
The remaining 1/3 of energy is also from sun but indirectly, in form of food.

    Sunlight availability varies with latitude.
The fact that we use clothes is a major factor when we are created to be dependent on sunlight being able to reach us.

Migrations that started at Lake Victoris took long time, many generations.
Our bodies, our mitochondrias had a time to adapt to new places.
New haplogroups developed over that time.
Thise days extreme migrations take place within just one life.
    No time to adapt.

I assume that if one's haplogroup stays at about same latitude for 10000-15000 years that is enough time to adapt to that latitude.

From my personal experience, extreme migration is extremely stressfull.
I have spend one complete year in tropics. I was ok with the sunlight and heat and humidity, what got to me was very small variations in the length of the day. All days and night are real close to 12/12hr.
    That was causing stress.

    Portland Oregon 45.5202° N
    Phoenix Arizona 33.4486° N

It would be good idea to know ones haplogroup and figure out its latitude.
    Below is my as example.

Answer to this question may possibly give a clue to person's ideal latitude where one would look for residence.
    My maternal haplotype is H5.
    23andme report have this line:
Your maternal line stems from haplogroup H5, a branch of haplogroup H that traces back to a woman who lived nearly 10,000 years ago, soon after the end of the Ice Age. The haplogroup appears to have sprung up somewhere near the Caucasus Mountains or in forests near the Black Sea,

    Wiki gives me:
The Caucasus Mountains[a] are a mountain system in Eurasia between the Black Sea and the Caspian Sea in the Caucasus region.
    Latitude 42°30′N
So, over 10000 years my ancestral women traveled from:
    42°30′N 45°00′E

and My Mom have given me my life at:
    48°37'0" N 26°10'0" E
My first 31 years I have spend at about latitude
    50.28333° N, 18.66667° E
and my next 47 years I have spend at:
    40.8579° N, 74.426° W

of which the first 25 years I have spend with my Mom in the same house.
And then she departed on the trip to see our INTELIGENCE.

So my current location is closer to Equator by one degree,
when comparing to the origins of H5 haplogroup.
That is likely as ideal as one may wish for (if I am not mistaken).
My mitochondria for 10000 years stays at about same latitude,
hopefully enough time to get used to that latitude.

    Saga continues.

    Leptin reset
    leptin resistance

Please do not do blood test for leptin, (can be done but it is useless in addressing this condition).
Leptin resistance is a state that needs a change.

    EZ (easy water)
it is a state of water
    solid, liquid, gas, 4th state

note that change of state requires addition or subtraction of energy

EZ water is able to exist only in very tiny places.
Some of our cells are too big.
Our EZ water is made by our mitochondria (it does not come from the water we drink)

When you drink water do not worry about its EZ content.
Spring water is very good for drinking.

Number of different concepts. Often it is hard to figure which one is being discussed.

Thirsty person is dehydrated, should drink water.

Person can be dehydrated while drinking enormous amounts of water if his hormones are not functioning properly.

Person can be dehydrated while all swollen up (swollen=full of water), eating water pills to get rid of some water.

Person can be dehydrated when his mitochondria is enlarged and not able to make sufficient amounts of EZ water.

The last situation is mostly discussed by @Jack Kruse (I think).
