With a leaky gut is green tea helpful or counterproductive? I'm assuming due to caffeine it's not optimal in this setting, but am unsure.

Melrito Loaded question. If you had a 23andme test we would know whether you are a fast of slow metabolizer of caffeine......those who are slow and have a low HDL have to be careful with green tea. Green tea is among the best drinks on our planet because of its effects on testosterone and aromatase inhibition. It also lowers a HS CRP very well and has an amazing affect on the aldosterone renin angiotensin system.......All in all I think green tea is a great thing for most people......but those with a leaky gut have to be careful with it.
