DHA is docosahexaenoic acid, the omega 3 fatty acid that fish/seafood is loaded with. LA is (I think) linolenic acid, an Omega 6 fatty acid.

Most people have an altered ratio of O3/O6 and are too heavy on the O6's... Dr K has pointed out a lot that we need O6's in our diets, but for proper signalling and reduced inflammation we need that ratio closer to 1:1. So if you think your ratio is off (most of us are dealing with this) you need to seriously bump up the consumption of fish & seafood (with raw giving you the most DHA). Does that make sense?

I'm sure someone will correct me if I've got it wrong.
