Gals, anyone want to buddy on a Leptin Reset?

    Ok..good to know. I don't know of any broth in a box that is gelled and they are gross, well at the regular stores not sure of grass fed ones they may taste good but I guessing they probably aren't a gel. I have made beef and chicken broth that gelled really good. Need to try the seafood again though, just did it only once.

    I would like to join the Leptin reset. I have read and followed JK for a couple years. I have been trying to really be strict with the diet for a couple weeks. Even got hubby to join me! Have been doing more light and magnetism stuff. I have gained 40 # in the last year. Can't seem to lose it.

    My thoughts for today: In early leptin reset I need to limit calories, later calories won't matter so much. I have been doing way better with diet by making a big pot of keto soup on Sundays. Think that adding fresh seafood to it each day is a great idea! Also planning to add greens and seaweeds this week! Just got a metal horse trough and filled it with water. It is freezing with a little snow today. Maybe if I journal my CT time, I will be more consistent.

    what else are you doing?

    Do you have blue blockers? lights off at sunset?

    all electronics out of your bedroom?

    Have you listened to Jack's 2 Vermont talks????

    I have blue blockers, magnetico, changed lights in house. Blue blocker lights and black lights and a trimeter to check things. I have listened to the Vermont talks several times as well as other talks. I have a heater and a fan for white noise in the bedroom. The room stays about 55 so its pretty cool even with the heater. I turn off the WiFi and unplug the phones. Have hard wired almost everything.

    Our electric panel is it the bedroom. It doesn't measure high with the trimeter or gauss meter. Should I flip the main breaker any way?

    My Subaru measures high on the trimeter when I am driving. I have not figured out how to make it safer. Got any ideas?

    My sweat patterns have definitely changed! More sweating! This makes me think Leptin is better! I sleep well. My thinking is better, not so foggy. Finger nails are stronger. Joints are rarely sore. Feel way better!

    I have lost 2 sizes in my tops! Yay! My strength is much better! I can lift heavy 40 # boxes and whole sheets of plywood by myself! It used to make my back hurt for a few days. I feel best when I eat more seafood and skip the poultry!

    Happy to help ..... we are travelling right now - but run into wifi every few days.

    sunshine ....as much as possible!!! I was able to lay out naked the other day for a few hours ....I also had a naked chef - gotta watch the bits tho when BBQing!

    I did the reset about 5 years ago now I guess..... I have drifted off tho so this will help me too!

    I may join you as well! I’m no pro but have absorbed a lot of the concepts. It’s the detailed execution that still gets me. I’ve had a lot of past success with old-school low carb and find myself wanting to default to some of those habits.

    I’m planning to have a relatively tech-free weekend camping with my family before my boys head off to college. Scurrying to get everything done (and now panicking a bit on what food to take besides salmon burgers, bacon, eggs and nuts.) we will be there with a larger group and there is a potluck meal on Saturday... Ah! I’ll take deviled eggs.

    Anyway, will join you on Monday!

    One of my standby's for camping and BBQ's is shish kabobs! One horse camping trip I cubed meat and vegetables and put it in several zip lock bags with different seasoning in each one. They were all good! I usually do meat on one stick and veggies on their own stick. My healthy friends were impressed!

    I vote for keeping the discussions in this thread. I’ll probably review the entire thread, and others. I’m sure there’s gold here.

    If you have questions or comments that are too personal to post, there’s the private message (Conversation) function—group or individual. However I’m trying to get over my fear of too much internet exposure and will probably just blurt it all out here. :D

    I have been looking for new meal ideas this week. Gordon Ramsey on YouTube shows how to make: miso salmon, fritatas, fish cakes and spring rolls. He also had a good recipe for scrambled eggs over salmon on toast. I could easily make an egg coconut flat bread to toast or put it over some greens.
    I had to laugh today... I was thinking how tuff I was getting with my CT... I measured the temperature. It was 70 degrees at 5 am! I guess I need more ice!!
    My current favorite breakfast is eggs Florentine or fish and a green smoothie with mixed salad greens, 1/4 cup berries and stevia. I found a new dish at the local Chinese place. Its called moo shu. It is mostly cabbage and meat lightly stir fried. It has no noodles or rice but comes with a thin rice tortilla and plum sauce, which you can easily skip. I am thinking I need to do more stirfries! It makes an easy fast food!

    OK, the miso salmon was good! I added some general tao seasoning to the veggies before putting them on top. Yum! I have lots of salmon to use up!

    My main reason for finding new recipes, is that my husband is hard to please when it comes to seafood. He literally, genetically has way more nerve endings and taste buds than a normal person. He is a professional taster! I normally cook a meal and then ask him to season it. He doesn't like salmon, but he liked this miso salmon!

    Now, if I could find an oyster recipe he likes!!

    I once medium heat smoked an ahi tuna steak. My dad, definitely not a seafood eater, thought that it was beef steak.

    That was one of my best culinary wins.

    Dinner yesterday was using up the leftovers before we leave, so some steak, blue cheese burgers, and curry chicken. (Yes, still using up some chicken in the freezer. Won’t be buying more.) Lightly rewarmed everything on the grill while roasting three local eggplants (3 for a buck from the Amish stand!) to make Baba Ganoush with the following recipe. Came out great. This site has some good ideas if you avoid the processed stuff.

    Found some smoked fish at the market (herring and, new to me, bronzini) so will take that. Turns out there will be a communal fridge and stove at the campground dining hall (so far less primitive than I thought) but I don’t plan to use them. Cooler should work well enough for the perishables. Oh, bringing my container of oysters too!

    Wow, a professional taster husband. That’s a cool challenge. I think @drezy should write a cookbook if one isn’t already in the works. I’ll gladly edit it.

    Good idea @drezy I should try smoking meat. He likes that. I wonder how hard it would be to smoke oysters... Wonder if you have any other culinary ideas that my hubby would enjoy...

    I was pleased to see that I lost a couple pounds when I got on the scales today. Yay! CT and lots of sun and seafood seems to be helping!

    I think I will begin keeping a journal of best seafood recipes.
