    Hi dr Jack!

    Could you please have a look at attachment - what changes with ionising radiation so that from damager ciprofloxacin became a protector of normal tissue?


    Could it be, that in fact is no protection, only the FQ damages the cancer cells in such a way ( very low redox), that these cells are becoming primordially target for radiation, while healthy cells are not affected?
    This would mean a quantum tunnelling effect of the radiation..... :))
    Of course, with higher radiation power I am sure the damage wont be anymore selective.
