First round ever of HCG started today

  1. Colleen,

Need some help! Ok so weighed in Thanksgiving morning and I was down a total of 17.2 pounds and I guess I got to confident or what. Went to Thanksgiving dinner and I had planned on having turkey breast but I also ate one half of a deviled egg, 3 bites of sweet potato, a few brussel sprouts & about 4 bites of gluten free dressing! Next day I was up .2 lbs, yesterday up .6 and today .8!!!! I don't know why it keeps increasing even though I have followed protocol since. Also, I never ate lunch Thanksgiving day I had another half of the deviled egg for lunch. I did switch to a new gum also and I wonder if that has something to do with it? It is sugar free though still. I usually chew one or two pieces at most a day but just in case I am giving it to my daughter. My dose is at .20 and I am not hungry. I did lower it some since I was starving on .25 and went down to .22 but was still hungry a lot. I feel the weight or bloat in my stomach. I so should have avoided that darn GF stuffing! I am so mad at myself but at the same time it just stinks that I can't have a few bites of what most people would consider healthy food without blowing up! I guess it will be like this forever! My body is so sensitive! Funny thing is though too I wonder if something had gluten or dairy or was because since then I have had a slightly scratchy sore throat which I usually get if I eat either one of those foods.  Now what should I do to get back to losing again? I can't even begin to tell you how bad I hate myself right now!

That is very normal. When you eat off protocol, the gains can go on for a couple of days. There's nothing you can do to avoid the consequences though. [IMG] Just stick to protocol and it will start falling off again. You can't have a few bites of ANYTHING on hcg. It's not a diet. It's a hormonal protocol and anything off the list can disrupt the hormonal response. That's the first thing people have to realize. And just because something is gluten free, doesn't mean it's healthy. Gluten free dressing still has grains and gluten free stuff is often higher in carbs than wheat products. So I avoid them the majority of the time.

When you get to your ideal weight, if you stick to Doc's leptin timing, your insulin resistance will get better and better and you won't react to badly to the occasional ingestion of higher carbs than normal. Good luck!

    Colleen or Cavemam or anyone!

Ok I am up another .2 lbs today! This is crazy a total of 2 lbs! I have been back to protocol since Friday and honestly it's not like I cheated that much on Thursday! What is going on? Is it water? You know I went to my husband's cousin's for Thanksgiving and she did the GF stuffing for me & my girls but I really am beginning to wonder if it was truly GF? My stomach feels bloated still from just 4 bites???? Something isn't right. My DD that has Celiac's didn't even eat it cause she hates stuffing. I am so hating myself cause I was doing awesome!

    Colleen,

I don't have that empty feeling that I LOVE about hcg! When will it come back?!?! Oh I haven't eaten my fruit the past few days either to try to fix this. But I did have chili made with ground chicken so I count that tomato as fruit since I eat it over romaine.

Let me tell you I have learned my lesson far beyond being on HCG! I will not eat a little of something to not hurt someone else's feelings ever again!

It sure sounds like inflammation. Your dose might be off too if you aren't feeling that nice empty feeling. What are you on now? I don't remember.

I am on .20 on the syringe not sure what that would be? I am not hungry but do not have that empty feeling. I think that stuff was contaminated with gluten or had some kind of gluten in it. I have NEVER re-acted like this before. I just can't wait for it to go away. I wonder how long it will take?

    How was it mixed?

I followed the instructions at the forum for the 2,000 iu vial. I put a total of 4 cc's of bacosteric water in it

Okay so that's less than 100 iu. But if you're not hungry, then I wouldn't alter it yet until the inflammation is past to see if things go back to normal.

Ok Colleen & Cavemam I am done!

Took my last injection on Wednesday and will begin P3 on Sunday. I lost 27 lbs!!!

    3" bust

    4.5" waist

    5" hips

    3" in each thigh

So my question is what do I do now? Should I continue to IF for breakfast although morning seems to be the time I am usually hungry. I know no starch or sugar. Is it ok to have a glass of wine or should I avoid alcohol entirely for P3?

I am making Christmas dinner so I have complete control over what I am eating. I am thrilled with my loss and I learned a ton about myself that I did not know. The difference between true physical hunger & psychological hunger is a fine line.

Thanks Vikki I feel great and learned a lot about myself and my relationship with food. I will do another round mid to late February and I think end up right where I want to be [IMG]
