fiber options

    This looks to me as a fiber from a wheat.
    That would be the outside shell of a grain.
    This days there is a problem with that outside shell.
    Historically, that shell was rather soft and pliable.
    Now, Monsanto re-engineered seed of wheat so that shell is hard.
    It is done because it is easier to grow that kind of wheat.
    When someone eats it, it is similar to sand paper, it scratches and injuries intestinal walls.

    If you must eat wheat, look for heritage varieties which were not altered.
