Dopamine RX

    hey,

    Dopamine not a hormone but thought this was the best place.

    I re-read Jacks dopamine blog about a week back and feel like i need to do something with regards to my own dopamine levels. I definitely have a problem with procrastination. It's a great read, probably my favourite so far.

    I think that managing dopamine is a big issue with my generation, we grow up with porn, video games and the internet.

    Anyway i want to kill procrastination and start executing. I don't play video games or watch porn atm but still i think i carry the burden of past usage (there was one stage in my life where every night was video games and porn till i got shitty sleep at 4am, not to mention the late blue light damage!). I was without question dopamine resistant at one stage, might still be...

    Jack wrote about retreating to a cold dark hole. That sounds gangster as shit and i think i'm gonna do something similar next summer, a big reset button that will be my first major biohack. But can't do that b4 next summer.

    Anyway, my questions:
    1) CT's effect on dopamine?
    2) chasteberry extract vs procrastination?
    3) Anyway to test Dopamine functioning?
    4) what was it that Jacks biohack in the ground actually did? i know there has been other experiments done that do the same. is it just that they're completely void of stimuli?
    5) Any advice you lot have for me to achieve optimal dopamine?

    Stay up with your reading here. Note the date of this linked paper. 2000. For 15 years I been telling people about CT and dopamine. The cooler your surfaces are the more the biochemistry changes at deeper tissues levels because when any human surface is cooled it allows us to absorb and assimilate UV light to add more electrons to our body.

    The best way to avoid procrastinating is to begin. If you're stuck in your past, you go forward in reverse and nothing changes. We may delay, but time won't. The most pernicious aspect of procrastination is that it can become a habit. A habit institutionalizes us to mediocrity. Action allows us to step out of the crowd of average people. Enter that game and alter the numbers on the scoreboard. Mediocrity is what's left when vision is absent.

    Hi Dr. K,

    I try to keep up reading the blog but most info, especially in the time series, goes right over my head, so it's hardly worth just reading and forgetting. I can't seem to find it, but did you say that the suggested books for reading are prerequisites to understanding the latest info on the blog? Also, would it be correct to assume for someone to well-grasp the current info, they should have read the preceding blogs?

  8. Matt. I started reading Jack's blogs in July 2011. Best approach to understanding--read all of the blogs. Start at the beginning. June 2011 I believe. Join. Listen to all the webinars and their q&a's. Study up on what you don't understand. It is hard work and worth it. It will take some time and effort to overcome all the half truths you now believe. Quantum biology and quantum medicine will revolutionize everything. Works for me.
