Skin on my forearms has gone all dry and scaly suddenly - not itchy at all, thank the Lord. I'm hoping it will disappear as quickly as it appeared. Am also getting major, major very specific food cravings (dried dates is one of them, and mushrooms another, as well as ginger - so not too awful) so I'm wondering what I'm deficient in that these would supply.

That's what my legs look like today. I took a DIM yesterday. I took one last Friday and my legs looked like that on Saturday. Hopefully that means that my body is eliminating crud through my skin! I'm going to add the DIM to my daily routine because I think I have the estrogen detox going on, plus I don't have my gallbladder.

Anybody having problems with their eyes? Mine have been giving me issues since about December. (I've been working the reset since July and started CT in March) At night I experience extremely dry eyes- so much that I often wake up to put lubricant eye drops in. My eyes are frequently very bloodshot during the day, though they seem to have been looking better lately. However, this morning I woke up and my right eye felt like there was something in it- I looked in the mirror and the cornea was swollen and red and my eye was tearing really bad. This happened a couple of weeks ago as well- both times it happened the day after a soak in the cold tub. My vision is ok, and the swelling went down a lot through the morning. I spend at least 10 mins in a cold shower every morning, so that helped it look much better.

Check out what Paul Jaminet has to say about dry eyes & low carb. I haven't experienced anything like it, but apparently some have. I don't think the solution is to avoid low carb if it's needed for healing; there must be some other part of the story, some other deficiency that is revealed with the low carb diet.

I've had some weird detox the past couple of days.... I've just gotten back into swing w/CT again - right now just doing SpotCT - planning on getting in the bath maybe this afternoon - or this weekend...we'll see what work throws at me today...

Waves of detox, ugh! More mystery bloating or something. Up almost 9 lbs over the last 3+ weeks. WTH? I'm taking colostrum for LG, DIM, sipping detox tea and continuing my normal routine (incl CT) so nothing has changed except weight gain. So irriating. Sugar cravings are awakening but I've resolved myself to ignore them - I'm pretty sure it is this warm weather. I'm craving starchy/fruity things but if I'm gaining without them I can't imagine how much I might be gaining with them. Sheesh!

One positive note: Recently got my hairs did and my stylist noticed how much new hair growth I have all over ~3+ inches. I've had thinning hair for ~half my life so this is wonderful news that someone else knowing nothing about my healing journey noticed it without prompting. She commented on it 4 times or more and used words like "amazing". :)

Can't wait to learn what Factor X is (I have my suspicions) so that perhaps that is something else in the arsenal I can use to deal with weight gain or to tweak the routine.

some of your weight gain maybe from stronger muscles. my clothes fit better although the scale is actually up. so i estimate i may have gained 5 pounds of muscles.

on the bloating... are you eating a lot of coconut manna? i think that was the reason of my bloating. when i stopped eating it my tummy became flat. :) now i still eat a little bit of it, just not as much as i did before. coconut oil is fine.

HEADACHES! They seem to be ever present... Not the kind that really needs pain medication, fortunately. I find the headaches worse the more frequent/colder/longer the CT sessions are.

I'm not explicitly working out yet. I don't think I am LS at all 3 areas, especially the liver is my suspicion. Unless CT makes my muscles grow magically I don't know why my weight is up and so much. I'm up another 1 lb from yesterday. I don't feel any stronger but maybe I should test it out. :(

I don't eat coconut manna anymore. I don't tolerate it well, haven't had any since last summer. Hmmm...any other ideas?

Yup...I get them the more I CT and as I CT longer/colder they tend to be more acute and last longer. It is kinda like background noise...always there and annoying. if I'm going through other detox symptoms at the same time, it is always a lot worse and makes me want to take Advil or Tylenol but I don't since my liver feels sluggish.

In the past week I have seen a resurgence of night sweats and hot flashes. No! I have been done with these for over four years.

At night: throw covers off, pull them up, repeat...

At work: turn fan on, turn off, repeat...

Did I mention that hot flashes make my ears turn bright red and burn? Embarrassing to say the least.

I've been having really bad stomach pains the last couple of days, as well as a decrease in "regularity"! Have broken out in blackheads and spots all over my torso and yesterday the whole of the right side of my body hurt. Today it's the left side hurting. Very strange, but no doubt it will pass. On a positive note, a finger that I damaged years ago and which has had no feeling since is now tingling and I can feel things weirdly when I touch them.

I'm getting all over muscle soreness again. Just like I overdid it lifting weights. Very weird, since I am not doing any other exercise except walking.

Same here, Kathylu. Started a couple of hours ago, and I feel like I've been run over by a train ... The knee that needed replacement, and which hasn't given me any bother at all for ages is now swollen and aching badly despite having done nothing more than walking the dogs and a bit of housework. Hope to goodness it passes before Friday when I see the consultant again ...

It is very strange that lately I've been feeling really itchy about 1 hour before bed. It happens even sans CT. Usually by the time I have gone to bed it starts to subside and disapear. Although I have noticed if I am spot CTing after dinner the itchies are more intense. Strangeness! I want it to stop! I don't have allergies that I am aware of so I'm saying it is low-level detox or some type of inflamation flare-up but IDK.

I gave into the itchies...and did a dry brushing, once I was done the itching had stopped... my lymph system must needed some assistance....

I'm sure my itching is detox too. The only other times in my life I've had itching like this is right after I stopped eating wheat 5 years ago, then again last year when I cut all nuts out of my diet.

I'm so glad I checked into this thread.

I'm CTing (around the 55F mark) 4 times per week....would like it to be more.

But I have headaches most days, and I feel hit by a freight train more often than not! ;)

Then there's the (cue *Jaws Theme*) Hormone Shift....estrogen dumping?? Waaaaaaaaaah.

I was in tears about everything a couple of days ago. My name got published in the wrong list in a newsletter (ie the list of those who gave apologies, rather than those who attended a meeting) and you'd have thought there were "Wanted" posters of me all over the city or something by my reaction. Tearful calls to my poor husband at work and everything. Sheesh! :D
