My elbows, knees, neck and feet are the same way. Hope it goes away for all of us soon! I too use CO on it but does nothing and that is a pretty tried and true solution to most all things skin related.

Wow. Last Tuesday, Rosekelly and I (she's on this forum too) and I drove to Santa Cruz to CT in the ocean. It was awesome. We were the only two crazy people in the water and laughed the entire time. The only reason we decided to get out of the water after 25 minutes was because the big waves kept knocking us on our asses lol. I've been doing CT and the LR for 5 weeks now. In addition to my increased mental clarity, the constant gnawing hunger I used to have is gone. My only concern was my weight which hadn't budged. Anyway, after our dip in the ocean, all hell seemed to break lose on the detox front. I even experienced a stuffy nose for the first time in years. I decided to try something different last night and lay off the CT and decided to take a warm epsom salt bath instead. When I woke up this morning, I was excited and surprised to see that my stomach (where I hold all my weight) was visibly smaller, and I had lost over a pound! Fellow CTers, thank you all for your contributions on this forum. It is much appreciated. We are definitely on the leading edge here and I'm having fun playing in this arena.

when I first started ct, I had tons of dry skin on my shins, which is not a normal thing for me at all. Nothing I did made it go away, so I quit trying. Then one day I noticed the dryness was totally gone. It took about a month.
  4. Sometimes I wonder if CT doesn't stir up some latent viruses in us folk who experience flu like symptoms? I've slowed way down on CT and started supplementing liposomal GSH, liposomal vitamiin C and lysine (1 gram each 3x/day) seems to help!

Hmm. I haven't seen any detox symptoms at all in the month I've been doing CT. I'm now at the point of doing 30-40 minute cold soaks in a tub with my head, hands, and feet out of the water. Background: I've been doing a clean, moderately low carb, not ketogenic Paleo diet for about two years now, and I don't have excessive body fat (19% at last check).

I've been up for an hour with a splitting headache, nausea, stuffy nose and feeling really awful. It's 5:27 am. I think it was the 35 minute ocean dip on Sunday that accelerated the detox. I didn't experience any of this from the hours I spent in the tub, and this is my 6th week on LR/CT. Would someone kindly tell me if this sums up the advice for mitigating die off symptoms? Thank you so much!

Mushrooms, Vitamin B complex, 99% chocolate, DGL, liposomal Vitamin C, lipomomal GSH (gluthathione),

depends on what your issues are! some need DIM, others need liver support. push the mushrooms, eat plenty of cilantro, Bvits and see what else you need Detox will come in waves...

Thank you Shijin13. The Detox waves are getting worse. I'm going to experiment with some things on the list and eat plenty of mushrooms and cilantro!

    Hi there

Has anyone had their leaky gut symptoms flare up as a result of CT. I started getting sinus pain, brain fog & palpitations after meals together with gut cramps about a month ago after some intense CT. Probiotics and bone broths are sorting it out now but I wondered if this could be a detox effect ( alternative hypothesis - I had a chest infection around the same time - could that have been the cause?)

Anybody out there with leaky gut expertise?

It is hard to know for sure. Is it a detox or a virus? I experienced a few violent reactions. It usually took about 5 hrs to develop - fever, leg, buttock, and kidney pain. Puking and running all night. Headache, feeling like I am getting a gallbladder attack (don't have one). A headache with malaise.

I have been doing CT for almost 3 months and thought that I am past the detox. I had another violent reaction last night, so it looks that I am far from being cold adapted.

I'm sorry you have been suffering Destiny - but it is encouraging to know that the path is not straight for others also.

I've been doing face dunks, some cold tubs and a few pond dips for the last three week. I have to say I feel much better after reading through this thread...checking off so many symptoms of detox. Dry and itchy skin...a line of three cold sores on my face, perhaps the virus activating under my skin due to cold...swelling hands and feet which are also a food allergy symptom, but I'm not eating anything I'm allergic to now...fatigue at first which is turning into energy...teeth hurting and metallic taste in my mouth (I think it's time to get the fillings out)...sleeping ranges from fantastic to non-existant. I'm still playing around with different supplements and going to look into adrenal fatigue and hormones testing to update what I already know.

Benefits...I'm actually feeling stronger without doing anything different. I do the same chores everyday, so it's clear that when the hay bales are feeling lighter I must be getting stronger....lost five pounds and then nothing since.

I do believe this detox is a long unwinding process from years of suboptimal living...healing crisis kind of stuff that needs to be managed safely.

Miserable with bloating...woke up Monday morning weighing 6.2 lbs more than the previous Friday.

Saturday afternoon had a great 60 minute session. By Sunday evening was a miserable (felt like a water balloon ready to pop!). Night sweats Sunday night and very poor sleep. Even having heat flushes during the day...post menopausal so I was not pleased to get these yet again :(

Waiting for my body to release the excess water. Only dropped one lb this AM. Very disheartening to say the least!

Ugh, I hate mystery bloating! I woke up one day in February 6lb heavier than the previous day, and never figured out what it was. It took the usual week to go away. :p

Yes, I figure it is best to stay away from the scale until at least next Monday. Better for my sanity anyway :)

You would think that all the water I consumed yesterday would have made a greater impact...

I've come down with the super awesome (sarcasm, people) gut craziness again that I had exactly a month ago. Lucky me. If it shows up again in a month after this, I'm going to start getting suspicious.

So apparently if done correctly Zeltig take up to 4 months to recover from during which time inflammation happens as the fat cells die

Implication being, bloaty is expected as part of fat cells dying?? Or did I miss the point...
