CT as Rx in the Protocol or During Workout or Both?

    Well, the title gives it away I guess? I'd appreciate any dumping of experience or information here. If I'm interested in improving athletic performance (possibly at the expense of my long term health), should I CT as prescribed, or do some type of CT during exercise, or both? I've read where Lance was biking with ice packs all around his body and maybe has a freezer setup in his garage with stationary bikes, and Phelps swims in a cold pool. Any details on this type of stuff and how I might apply it to my training?
