    Dude forced me to try this for the first time. We had it sashimi style along with some grilled sardines. Next time better knife work...

    Food history books are my favorite. Just thinking that there were recipes throughout time that are now lost to us is mind boggling to me.

    My favorite is Roman graum made by stuffing smaller fish intestine in larger fish intestine and leaving it in the sun for a while and juicing it. If it sounds gross at all be careful, if you've ever used Vietnamese fish sauce you've eaten a modern likeness:

    I just stirred up some wasabi in tamer sauce and drove the octopus around in it.

    I was a little tense since I've never tried it before, but it worked out well. No picture of the grilled sardines b/c they are just not as pretty.

    Nice Drezy! I did the carpacio over onions and mixed seasonal veggies.

    I'm always highly tempted to replace paprika with smoked paprika in every dish I make because, hey... it's smoked!
