I stopped at the store tonight to hopefully pick up some fresh oysters or shellfish, but they didn't have any left. I wasn't in the mood for "fish", so I picked up some farmed mussels from Chile. About 40 in a frozen pack, fully cooked instead of fresh. Oh well.... I took them home, simmered them in a stick of butter, salt, pepper, and downed them with a glass of malbec. Not bad. Not as ideal as fresh oysters, but better than 90% of the other choices in the store... I have a ton to learn, but I'm trying...
