    PayPal is charging $9 for the purchase of $500 worth of Bitcoins. That is 1.8%
    $500 is the maximum amount allowed on one transaction.
    Do not know yet, but likely there is a similar charge for purchasing a product with that Bitcoin.

    Do you have any information about the charges on those small regional banks you mentioned above?

    On another note some of my friends that are retired view their current Bitcoin finances as such….

    BTC = Savings Account
    USD(Fiat) = Checking Account
