Alyce's Optimal Journal

Discussion in 'My Optimal Journal' started by Alyce Miles OD, Dec 1, 2018.

  1. Age: 43
    Weight 159lbs
Health issues in past : depression, mood and pain

Grandmother lived in Colorado lived until 88 years old. Hit head at 85. No health problems except for arthritis to which she never complained of. I do believe she had a bipolar disorder.

Mother born 1946-1994. She developed inflammatory breast cancer at 43. Prior chronic sinus infections, GI issues, extreme light sensitivity and she didn't go outside after children were born as I recall.

Sister got ovarian stem cell cancer at 12yo in 1989. Still living but with anxiety
    Brother alcoholic and mood disorder.

Started going outside in March 2018. Have no sunburns and gradually introduced sun. Added CT in June/July. Currently take cold showers 55-60degrees every day and some soaking in tub with those temperatures two times a week. Added DHA to diet June also. Grounding outside walk barefoot as much as possible.

Recently I realized I gave my screwed up mitochondria to child (7 years old). I pulled him out of school to home school and he has had marked improvement. We unplugged the router and do not use wifi. It makes him "hot" as he says. Jackson's skin temperature on his back gets hot and his cheeks and nose get red when we are around wifi. I am adding as much DHA to Jackson as I can as he will eat it sometimes.

    My haplotype is K1b2a
    I live in Memphis.

I also have lived in New Orleans and Macon GA. Both places my mood improved. We are planning to move out of Memphis due to 5G and my sensitivity to light cycles.

With that history your SNP's and SAPs would be key. I bet you have a few -/- on your genetic genie. You might want to get the testing done

  7. Since starting protocols of Light, Magnetism and Water (and Food)

90-120 minutes of cold showers per week (best estimate) Some full immersion when time allows.

Sleep: So much improved -- had insomnia 17 years on and off. Now I sleep almost as well as I did in 20's.
Chronic pain in upper back 5 years: nearly gone
Numbness in right shoulder 5 years : nearly gone (has flared up a little since winter set in cold helps)
Coffee: Now I think it is nasty cannot even stand taste. Used to love it. Don't need it -- I wake up refreshed
Cold hands and feet (winter): still cannot shake this although this summer I couldn't have my feet in cold without pain now cold showers don't cause pain.
Skin: Age spots disappeared and it changed before my eyes-- freckles --dissappearing
    Hair: Thicker/ shiny
    Periods: Cramps disappeared
    Libido: Changed dramatically
Dreaming: Hadn't had dreams in 20 years. Now they are vivid and occur several times a week
    Dry Eyes: Gone
    Red Eyes: Gone
Mood: So much improved although I need more sunlight and D3 must change where I live
Appetite: Carb cravings almost gone (unless I slip up and eat carbs). Currently eating 2 meals per day and feel satiated.
Body structure: Changed and looks like mid 20's. Fat has changed location hour glass shape reappearing, lost fat around midsection and gluts.
Vision: Used to be -4.25 and prescription has decreased to -3.25
Sciatic pain: almost gone (Purple light helps it to go away--)
Acne: almost gone and for 20 years I knew it was hormonal and related to A vitamin used Retin-A. Now that I know how to make it with sunlight.....
Sweaty palms and feet: slowly going away

Mind: Here is where it is with me. ..... mother and GM had bipolar.... so when light cycles change that is where I have trouble. I noticed Vitamin D supplementation in winter helped me last year.

    Supplements I take:

D3 so far I have only supplemented in winter
    Green Tea
I tried Nicotine (sublingual) it seemed to help my mood although it upset my stomach at first or if empty

    Next getting blood work

  9. Peripheral vascular numbness and vasospasm

Call it Raynauds call it scleroderma but it may have to do with calcium for me. Feet and hands have been cold all day since November, and at night they warm up under covers with Magnetico. Numbness started then too but I had an episode in 2016 in July. Most likely autoimmune.

Only times my feet are NOT numb is when in cold water (go figure) and with my red light GembaRed LLLT.

However I discovered Nutmeg is a calcium channel blocker. I got some yesterday at grocery and added it to my diet. Today feet are cold but not numb.

I read calcium channel blockers are good for vasospasm.

  11. Magnetic sense.

When I first started CT my feet and hands HURT when I put them in the tub. So I thought well it doesn't hurt my legs and torso and chest and arms so we will stick with those parts first. Father: cardiologist said avoid cold. I didn't listen to his advise. The more I did CT last year the better I tolerated cold. Now when my hands and feet are in 55 degree water they don't ache. I have trouble below 55 but much improved over the ache and pain. I also believe that the magnetic sense is increasing with cold. They don't go numb when I am in cold water. Cold air is another story when breathing it during the winter. And when the doctors could not explain on any websites why cold exposure helped me I understood they don't understand the magnetic sense of mitochondria. If your magnetic sense is off you experience many maladies.

  12. I often wondered about Dr Kruse mentioning how hippos get a belly ache when the environment changes and they need to migrate.

I have been eating carbs this summer. For the last two days I have gotten a belly ache upset tummy. It is time to change the foods I am eating to what is growing now not what I want to eat.

    I understand Dr. Kruse.

    Thank you!!!!!

  13. I just checked my glasses RX myself (Being an optometrist....)

    1997 -4.25/-4/50

    2019 -2.75 OU

when I was 8 years old it was -1.75 OU
    Phosphene and drezy like this.
  14. I also increased the salt in my diet and no feet swelling as I have read some have problems with. I have noticed the tinnitus (ringing in ears) seems to be less and sometimes I don't hear the phantom sounds at all.

Have had ringing in ears for 25-30 years
caroline, Phosphene and drezy like this.
  15. I also have a little portable black light (battery operated.) I shined it on my ears in the evening when it was quiet and the ringing seemed less. I was missing UV light for 20 years while indoors working and missing it during the day. The last year I have spent rectifying that error. I need to eat more and more DHA to assimilate the light I get.

On a personal note: looking for a job in the south. Got Alabama Optometry License just a month ago. Looking near Alabama Florida line to move to a higher quantum yield environment. Lived in New Orleans in early 1990's and in southern Georgia in 2000's. Symptoms of Depression absent in those years.

Going to put child (8 years old) back in school and be VERY mindful of light with him. I have an inner sense now of what makes people sick. I see red inflamed cheeks and I think leaky gut and possible "lupus", I see skin issues on patients I think "skin clocks not in sync with eye clock CHAOS in cells", I see fatigue I see poor redox and altered light assimilation and water chemistry....

I had a patient who had been to EVERY DRY EYE SPECIALIST in town. I told her how to fix her environment at work and GET OUTDOORS. She was willing to trash all old beliefs and do what I said............. Status: one month later she says her eyes feel better. NO DRUGS NO DROPS NO PILLS. Just sunlight and blocking blue light on screen and adding seafood and seaweed.

    Phosphene Gold (finally)

I’m hoping mine have improved as well—will find out soon. My eyes have actually slowly improved over the past 10 years—starting well before I found Kruse. I used to be -8 (I know!) and have been at -6 for several years. A former optometrist said it was fairly common for farsightedness to drastically improve while nearsightedness encroaches in middle age. Any truth to that? Happened to my mother as well.
  17. No phosphene, I don't believe we get more farsighted as we age for the reasons Optometrists give. I was taught that in school. It all has to do with light. Recently I have read journals where they induced myopia with blue light and hyperopia with red light in chicks. As we get older cataracts form to protect the eye from blue light and then more red gets in and changes the refractive error. However, if you take your glasses off as I do when outside you can change the refractive error. I am not sure if it will reverse to Emmetropia (no glasses needed) but a reversal of some of myopia is always welcome!!!!!!

Here are some articles if you are interested....
    UV light protective against myopia

progressive hyperopia or myopia in chicks
LBK, Phosphene and MITpowered26 like this.
  18. and remember we cannot apply what happens to chicks to us...... it is a guide..... as the second study implies....

We regenerate as Jack says from UV and IR light. Those are the ones that need to be studied...
  19. Books I have read

    Body Electric Robert O Becker
    4th Phase of Water Pollack
The Rainbow and the Worm Mae Won Ho
    Light Sculpting Life Roeland VanWick
    The Vital Question Nick Lane
    Going Somewhere Andrew Marino
    Health and Light John Ott
Into the Light William Douglass Campbell II, MD
    Cosmo Sapiens John Hands
Rockefeller Medicine Men F. Richard Brown

It has changed how I view EVERYTHING.

It changed how I practice with patients. I now listen more to what they have to say. I have begun to treat patients with chronic eye conditions (who will listen to me) with the tensgrity of light water and magnetism.

Had several patients have results unattainable with other methods. 25 Y.O. black male 400 lbs lost 25 in 6 weeks, kidney dialysis patient urinating more, chronic dry eye patient been to every specialist is now not in pain and doing much better and I am working with her more than others.

So rewarding to see diseases melt away.

I may not have the abilities to know which things to would apply to a particular haplotype of mitochondria, but the human does have an ability to adapt more than we realize.
