Hi Jack; I've just spoken with the dad of a 3 year old recently diagnosed with alopecia areata. Parents want to try dietary intervention, and I'll be speaking with the mum tomorrow.

3 year old is bright, alert and active, with a history of food allergies, eczema, and slow growth. This little girl eats pasta, rice, soy milk, and doesn't like meat.

I'll be pushing keto paleo, and will direct them to your blog.

Is there anything to be wary of, with switching diet dramatically in one so young, and clearly unwell?

Its an autoimmune disease..........pure and simple. He has got to grain and dairy free or his kid becomes a train wreck for life.
